Looks amazing. That massive one handed blast is called "meteor strike"...hmmmm? Could that be the finishing blow on Jiren? Note the move list of MUI Goku "soaring fist"...and "surging spirit"...Very interesting

The blast is actually part of the Godly Display ultimate attack. Basically the whole thing with the flips is part of it. Can't wait to see that in the anime!

Also, I recommend not watching those videos for anyone wanting to get some surprises when the episode airs. Let's just say that UI Goku is pretty different from the regular one.

But yeah. It looks freaking incredible. I love the silverish/blue aura with Goku's silver hair. My gosh it looks utterly gorgeous. I can't wait to see mastered UI Goku in action in the anime. Especially that move. Wow it's going to be awesome. I have a feeling this is going to top SS2 Gohan vs Cell and Goku vs Frieza on Namek. ..I bet MUI Goku vs Jiren (and how Goku defeats him, here's hoping) will go down as one of the greatest most iconic battles and scenes In all of Dragon Ball

I really wonder what surging spirit could be...and soaring fist? Canon version of Dragon fist? Very very interesting; )

He looks fun as hell. Quite OP too, from what I've seen. I'm going to try out everybody, but honestly I'm more excited about the promised original story for this pack, more than any of the characters. Even Fuu I don't really care about gameplay-wise, even though storywise he's my main draw.

There's a few match-ups and team-ups I plan to make with UI Goku, which should be pretty fun.

Meteor Strike is a generic melee move in Xenoverse, so I don't really care. If you mean that Godly Display Ultimate, I think it looks amazing and does toooons of damage. Soaring Fist is cool. I like it, but it doesn't feel that special. The one thing I'm dissapointed is he doesn't have the Sliding Kamehamha which did Kefla in, but I understand it might be a tough move to pull off in gameplay.

But yeah...sliding kamehamha would've been amazing...but honestly how would you incorporate that into gameplay? It would have to be a qte. Or maybe a counter to when someone shoots a blast at you, and you ride it and kamehamha to the face lol

Btw, tell me MUI Goku doesn't look gorgeous with the aura and silver hair? I'm on PS4. I know I'm going to be spending most of time taking screenshots in photomode lol

It probably will be so cool to see on screen. But, you should look at Xenoverse 2 as a preview to that if we get to see UI in the future.

Something I've been thinking about is the manner in which Goku uses the Ultra Instinct.

He must ascend into forms to utilize this power. We've seen one other character who has to take on a form to be able to utilize a specific power: Toppo. His body mutated, becoming buffer and more defined, allowing him to utilize the Hakai Energy that all Hakaishin possess and make liberal use of.

Maybe Goku's body did the same thing; Saiyans are known for tapping into their potential power through transformations, after all.

By breaking the shell of his limits, Goku's body ascended to a form that utilized the Ultra Instinct. I don't think one can separate the Ultra Instinct from the form itself, though. It seems to me that Goku's body changed in response to tapping into the Ultra Instinct, much like Toppo's did in response to tapping into Hakai Energy. So, perhaps what we're seeing with the Perfected Ultra Instinct is Goku's body mutating further to utilize the full extent of the Ultra Instinct.

In summary, the Ultra Instinct manifests itself as a new form when Goku uses it, as does Toppo's Hakai Energy.

You do know these things are always best explained through out-of-universe explanations - Toei wants, Toei prefers.

In this case, i fully understand it. If Goku only gained the technique to move without thinking, without any change or alter in his appearance, than it would be boring as fuck, same with Toppo. Having “transformations” (however slightly they might change the users original appearance) is neccesary to physically show us a change in power, to visually represent a new power/technique. If the person’s appearance remained completely unaltered and the same, than the audience wouldn’t really be able to clearly tell that there is a huge change in the characters abilities.
