I could try one of the twins and Roshi, though my Roshi will probably suck.
Two questions, 1) What do I need to save them as and upload them too, ya know the sound clips; and 2) What lines would you like me to use as audition material?

2) I've got a link to the script in my signature. Grab it and pick any line or two for the characters you'd like.

Ok, I'll get started right away. Probably be tomorrow before I have it up since it's so late, but I'll see what I can do.
Don't get your hopes up though, my mics not the best in the world.
EDIT
I completely forgot to ask, what kind of voice are you looking for in the twins? Something like the FUNi version, or do you have something else in mind? Knowing would help me get in mind what you want.

I actually responded to that email, saiying I can't do the project because I need a replacement mike. If I get a new mike before you replace me I'll put up a sample, but if not just replace me. Also, email isn't a good way to contact me. I check this forum a lot more often then my email, so PMs are better for me.SSj Kaboom wrote:Secondly, while cruising through to see how long it had been since some people had checked in, I discovered that Taku128 was the one who had typed up the beat-adapted "Cha-La" lyrics. Back in March, the last time he poked his head into this thread. Unless this somehow catches his attention, I doubt if we'll get a hold of those lyrics again. Since apparently, he's disappeared from the internet (Upon inspection, the e-mail adress we had for him is null and void)

I do remember you responding now. It'd been so long since anything major happened, I'd forgotten. I barely remember what I had for dinner last night. Who are you people?! How did I get here?!

I think the best idea is to edit the posters when we're sure we have about only one week until everything's finished. Good idea? And I also think we should plan everything in advance right now, so we can work towards a solid deadline instead of just... floating.SSj Kaboom wrote: Stevey, mah boy! Start updating the posters to say "February 2008." We're making that Valentine's Day release date if it kills me.
Well, I know I am already doing like, a zillion roles, but i honestly don't want to do Kaio. I think someone else could do a much better "kaio voice" my voice is much to high pitch for anything decent, IMO. Isn't Steven Perry British, I think a British accent with a deep voice could fit perfectly.
Anywho, here is some Raisin and Rakasei, and Roshi, voices my voice is much more suited for. Blah blah, here are the samples.

Also, here is some new Goku stuff, none of the lines are from the movie, but they are Goku lines.

Okay, let me just say something semi-unrelated right now before I get into everything I was going to say before.
I @&%*!$# HATE INTERNET EXPLORER. I want to kill something right now... preferably Bill Gates. Damn program closed on me before I could finish typing this the first time and I couldn't paste it into anything to save it. I HATE YOU, WINDOWS.
I'm sorry; I'm kind of pissed off right now, because the message was already really long and I don't think I can recall everything I wrote now exactly. I'll say what I can remember, though... and I think I recall most of what I was going to mention anyways...
First off; I'm sorry, I'm a boob. When I said my next post was going to "have stuff", I hadn't intended for it to take me this long. I ended up disappearing from the board again. Well, I'm alive and back, and while I'm being eaten alive by school right now (who isn't, though?), I'm still working on things for the project when I can...
I have to thank you for sending me that dA note, Kaboom; I haven't exactly been checking my email recently, so I needed to get that. Anyways, I do have some stuff to update with...
Kaio-sama: I've found someone recently who's also willing to try to voice Kaio-sama. I got him to read his lines, and I must say I was impressed by how he did--he seemed to get Kaio-sama's character pretty much down with a little direction. (He's really interested in voice-acting, too, which helps.) His name is Jeremy (his online nickname is Cole); like Zelahn, he's not a member of DaizEX--I'm not sure if this will be a problem or not. I've asked him to record Kaio-sama's lines and to send them to me so I can show you guys (especially you, Kaboom) so you can decide for yourselves whether he'd be fit for the role or not (if you're okay with him contributing, that is). I might get the recordings from him as early as this weekend; I can't promise that, though, but I'll put them up when I get them. Kaboom, I'll talk to you about him some more when we discuss what's going on with the fandub this weekend... I have his contact information, as well, so if you're interested I can give it to you so you can talk with him a bit. If you don't mind him participating, and if you like what he can do but don't think he'd be the best person to play Kaio-sama, I can tell him about the other roles that need filling as well, so he can try for those if he wishes.
Shenlong: I haven't gotten to read all of the posts I've missed yet (I've just gone through the last few pages at the moment), so I don't know if this is still an issue or not. Do we have a new voice-actor for Shenlong already? I noted that he wasn't in the list of roles that still need replacement actors, so I'm looking to confirm whether someone's filled in for him or if he was just forgotten when the list was made. >_>; If his position still hasn't been filled, I'll go digging for what replacement samples we have so far...
Test lines: As far as my own go, I still haven't recorded any proper ones (lately, anyway), so I don't have any recent ones to put up at the moment. Kaboom, I know you've heard some sample lines from me already, but I think I still need to record a few more, primarily for practice. So, I'll either try to record and send them to you as soon as possible (when I'm not working on and panicking over schoolwork over the next two weeks), or I could do a couple of quick ones when we talk on YIM this weekend. Whichever one happens, I guess... In the meantime, I'm gonna go through and listen to all the test lines people have put up in my absence.
Script revisions: Still not done... I'm sorry; I should have had it taken care of a long time ago already, since the parts to be revised aren't even that big. I'll try to have them done by the weekend... When they're finished, I'll give the revised parts to Bardock the Mexican so he can update his translation accordingly. Does that sound okay, or would you guys just rather move on to the recording at this point? ._.;
Steven: Remember that poster work I volunteered to do? It's partially done as of right now... it's on hiatus at the moment with all the schoolwork I have to do, though. I'll show you what (little) I have done in a PM soon, and I'll pick back up on it again when these last few weeks of hell are over. Also, I'll be giving you feedback on the compiled soundtrack when I can do that as well (provided that you haven't changed it since for any reason; I'm guessing there might have been some change made, considering some of the response I saw regarding it).
Okay, Taku128:
Also, I don't know how many other people are still looking for decent mics to record with, but if you're one of them, you might (should) want to take a look at these as well. Here they are (and sorry about the size if they're a bit too big):

Logitech desktop microphone. This is the one I have and use, and from my experience with it, it seems to be a decent enough mic to record with. It tends to pick up just about everything when it records, though, which might not be a good thing when there's background noise. If you get this, you'll likely have to find a quiet area to record in, like a closet full of clothes (which, as mentioned some time before, is actually a pretty good place to record in). I got this mic at Wal-Mart for less than ten dollars, though depending on where you live, you might have to pay a little bit more than that (for some reason or other o_O). However, I bought my Logitech over a year ago, and when I looked for it at the same store recently, it wasn't on the shelves anymore. (You can probably still find it online, but I haven't checked.)
There was, however, this mic when I went looking for the Logitech:

Cyber Acoustics desktop microphone. I've found these not only at Wal-Mart, but at Office Depot as well (and I'm betting they're probably for sale at OfficeMax, too). Their price range is between under ten dollars (as you can see in the photo) to around fifteen; there are also slightly fancier mics available with a couple of extra features (an on/off switch among them, I think) available between fifteen to twenty-five dollars--I can't remember exactly, but that's within the ballpark. I haven't actually tried this one out, so I don't know how well it works, but I'm guessing it's probably as good as the Logitech, at least.
Those are just a couple of models you can look for, and they're probably the most basic ones you can go with that will allow for decent recording. If you know of or find a better microphone than these and don't mind paying some extra money for it, go ahead and go for that one instead. Just, I would recommend that you DON'T go for the tinier microphones that sit in a holster on the computer (and when they don't they have to be held). Those seem to generally be of poorer quality and really aren't much good for recording. (Trust me; my sister has one of them, and from my experience with it, it doesn't record very well at all.) If you don't have much money to spend (and I'm figuring most of us really don't), then your best bets for a cheap but decent mic are with the desktop microphones that can stand on their own. As far as earphone mics go, I really have no idea how good of a job they can do, so I can't say if they're worth getting to record with. I hope that helps some. ._.
Okay... I think that was about everything for now. I'm late for class, so I have to go. If there was anything I forgot, I'll tack it on later.
Again, sorry for not posting lately, guys. I'll try to use a stronger glue when sticking myself to the forum again this time. @_@;

Dude, that second one is a GOOD mic? That's my mic! I thought it was crappy, though mind you I've only played around with it once or twice!?
I'm playing with it more often now to test it's capabilities.

Err... what? SaiyamanMS did Kaio? I couldn't find a sample, despite looking through 3-4 pages (maybe I'm blind). Well anyway, for Kaio, we could use either number 4 or 11 of Omega's (after we see whether or not this new guy Kino is talking about is actually any good).SSj Kaboom wrote:What about SaiyamanMS's Kaio, guys?

That's a bit harsh. Give her a break, we all have personal lives that can get a bit rocky and distracting. Not bad, but I think he needs to SLOW DOWN, it sounded like he was trying to say the lines as fast as possible. Kaio should speak more methodically IMO.What about SaiyamanMS's Kaio, guys?
Anyone check out my Raisin and Rakasei, and Roshi, I am fairly found of them.

Oh, ha ha, funnnnny. C'mon, while I admit I've pushed it (and I'm sorry about it, really), I don't think I've been gone for quite THAT long at any one time.... ._.Steven Perry wrote:Oh, hi Kino.I'm not getting to enthusiastic, because I know it's only a matter of time before you disappear for 5-10 months again.
Thanks, Conan. -_-; I can't put up a current sample just yet, as it still needs to be recorded (which I can't say I see happening over the weekend, I'm afraid @_@), but I do have an older sample I recorded for Kaboom some time ago. Until I get the new samples done, I'm afraid this one will have to do for now--and I'm guessing Kaboom could still use it anyway for the time being, since he did apparently lose a lot of the sound files for the project with his computer going bonkers. >_>;Conan the SSJ wrote:That's a bit harsh. Kino, in your next post, can you put up a couple of samples for us?
Here: Old Gohan Test Lines
I recorded it initially for just Kaboom to hear, so there's commentary included in the file about what I was trying to experiment with for the voice. And again, keep in mind that this isn't something recent. Critique me as much as you see fit--it'll probably still help a lot even with the recording's age--but yeah... it's probably changed a little since, so just remember that. ._.
Okay. Kaboom, as for talking over the weekend... it seems I'm gonna be really, really busy over the next few days taking care of the rest of my classwork. I'm probably going to need all day Saturday just to take care of some of it, so I'm wondering... how about early afternoon Sunday, around one or two your time? At least if I'm doing classwork then, it'll likely be at my computer where I can still I'm you back and forth. (The all-Saturday excursion is gonna be in a ceramics studio, which would make internet conversation a bit hard. >_> ) Also, it might allow Cole a little extra time to record his Kaio takes for you to listen to (if he manages to record them over this weekend, anyway), which would give us something additional to discuss. I really want to know what you think of his version of Kaio-sama. ^^;
I'm hoping you will like what he can do, once I show you the recordings I get from him. ^^ I'm just waiting on him for now, though. In the meantime, I've downloaded most of the recent tryout files so far... I'll let you guys know what I think once I've listened to them all. ._.Steven Perry wrote:Err... what? SaiyamanMS did Kaio?
