[SPOILERS] How would you feel about these two near-impossible endings?

what's going to happen is jiren and goku will knock eachother out, frieza will come out of hiding and just as he's about to make his wish he dissapears and goes back to hell as time in the world of void runs differently than the real world. Goku then get's the wish since he was the 2nd to last eliminated and he wishes for all the universes to come back.

Again, the grand priest said the wish goes to the most outstanding fighter, not the last standing fighter. Frieza won't get the wish period.

Those both feel like very likely endings. Even the idea of them forgetting about Freeza is sadly not outside the realm of possibility.

After so much buildup, you just know whatever happens with Freeza is going to be an anticlimax. They have left so little time to resolve anything, at worst he'll try and make some stupid move and one of the many characters in that ring that outclass him will put him in his place and he'll wake up back in hell. I'd almost prefer it if it ends with him either getting hakai'd or somehow escaping in a "to be continued" fashion.

I agree. I was hoping for so much more with regard to Freeza's character and story, and I feel all but certain that, at this point, whatever happens (if anything even happens) will be very underwhelming and predictable. I almost wish that Yamcha had been the tenth fighter instead of reviving Freeza just to either do nothing with him or regress his character. Or perhaps even Boo could have been the tenth fighter; after he slept through Revival of F and flunked the Tournament of Destroyers, I was hoping he might get a little bit of time to shine.

I agree. I do think reviving Freeza was a good idea, because of the way he shook up the group dynamic. Plus, in the space of one episode (95) he showed more development than he's had from the end of Namek right through to Resurrection F, film and series alike.

It's the same argument with other characters that got built up (Krillin and Gohan spring to mind): do you appreciate the development they got, or regret that the show didn't follow through? I lean toward the former.

That's a really good point. It's sort of like a half-empty/half-full scenario. Each viewer can choose whether to focus on the positives (the development characters received) or the negatives (complaining that they deserved more). I like your perspective on the matter, and I choose the former focus over the latter as well. While I believe, for example, that Gohan deserved more, perhaps much more, than he received, I'm very, very happy that he's come as far as he has. If someone had told me back when Super began and the most recent memory of him was how Revival of F degraded him that before long he'd not only catch back up with how he once was but would even come as far as to match a Super Saiyajin Blue, I wouldn't have believed it.
