First answer answers the second, but I don't think I'm allowed to post such things.

I just got the 30 day free trial of Flash, so I'm playing around with it. Practicing drawing with vectors before I move to more complex animation (what I did for the banner in my sig when you click 'SG2' is pretty basic), so I draw'd a Chibi-style Gohan:

I'm pretty pleased with it. :D

He's cute. I've never tried drawing anything in Flash before, so I can't judge for how difficult it may or may not be . . . but this looks pretty similar to your style as I already know it. So it's either not as hard as I think, or you're adapting to the new interface pretty quickly. Either way, talented as always! Everyone (who isn't Rocketman) likes Gohan!

But . . . I thought you said one time that you never really cared for the fluffy Piccolo thing when dressed on Gohan. *blink*

Next for me:

Image

My response to the pic SG2 did for me in celebration of a year's anniversary. I don't like my idea as much as hers (and actually wanted to change what I'd started when I saw what she'd done so that our themes would "match"), but . . . eh. She does love Gohan, so it's hard to go wrong even if it's that simple. That is, unless you could that for some reason or other I decided to give him that odd GT face shine . . . thing . . .

The facial features are slightly different, too, because I've been trying to incorporate more of my own technique into the mouse (which is really difficult, so I don't usually bother).

The theme, of course, is supposed to be "Let's Shoot For Two (Years)!" with Gohan's hand symbolizing the number, but since he has his thumb out it's like . . . does he mean two, or three?!

Indeed. But it's delightful to watch, and forces you to use your imagination!! APPEAR THE SUPER SAIYAJIN 3!!

Also, because I'll never find a suitable excuse to post this in the Character Bashing thread that has suddenly become Raditz-centric:

Waha, d'chibi Raditz.

Wow, I like that! I've been trying to think up a good plot for some kind of fanfic with Goku growing up with Radtiz and Bardock, portraying what kind of childhood they would have, but I've drawn a blank. XD

If he stayed with the Saiyans, wouldn't his childhood have been "WAHHH WAHHH *planet explodes*" :P

That or the intro to 300. 8)

Also, shockingly, I shall contribute and draw a piccy for here that I am currently working on.

You are correct on that one

I mean if the planet never exploded.

I love fanart. I really do. And in my infinite boredom at work, I'll often draw stuff based on already established images. Not to mention the fact I can't find my sketchbook with all my totally original stuff. But I guess a small image on a computer screen can go a long way. Or something.

Vegeta (and a pikachu as per request by my unusual significant other)
Goku
Gohan and ChiChi
Piccolo
Kuririn
North Kai

Eventually I want to compile them into a collage of them all being shocked/angry at one specific enemy, who is to be decided at a later time..

Hey there everyone! Here are a few of my new Dragonball sculptures! Hope I'm putting this in the right place. I have plans to make a lot more of these whenever I have time, so I was originally just going to make my own thread for them. But since it looks like all art stuff goes in here, this is totally cool to. : )

I tend to have a pension for making really obscure characters, so in accordance with that, here's another character whose one and only appearance was in Dragonball movie 2, Sleeping Princes in Devils Castle. (Majin-Jô No Nemuri Hime) Not sure what his name was in the original Japanese version, but in the English dub it was Egor. Here he is:

And heres one of him next to my last sculpture of Gasuteru:

More on the way!

All the best,
Oldphan

Those are really nice both of you! Good job

How long did it take to make those sculptures?

I can't imagine exactly, but if it didn't take more than two to four days altogether, I'm going to cry a bit. Making sculptures as good as those can take a LOT of time for me... ;_;

Speaking of which, I'll probably (hopefully) have some sculpture-related fanart to show here soon. I'm hoping that it didn't explode in the kiln... @_@;;
Art, etc. links taken down for now. Will be updated at some point. I dunno.

Thanks very much guys!

The Gasuteru took around 2 days, I think working about 6 hours or so each day on him, and Egor took around 4 to 5 hours or so... Not totally sure. :D

Looking forward to seeing your sculptures Kino! I hate it when they blow up.... Thats happened to me before...

*lifts beer into the air*

Heres to hoping for the best!

All the best,
Oldphan

Yep, those are truly awesome, Oldphan, and I like how the counters match the wall tiles as well

Now heres some good ol' fashioned 2D art!...courtesy of Microsoft Paint!

I drew this up last Saturday(Dec.1) and I just wanted to see what everyone thought about it! It took about 3 hours to do, and there are still some things I don't like about it.(I think his face should curve in a bit around the eye.) But I hope you guys like it!

I used Microsoft Paint for these ones, so I apologize if they came out to be not perfect. They took a long time too, so hopefully they're appreciated.
