Now I'm definitely watching this movie. I don't care if it turns into Piccolo being Goku's Gym teacher in disguise, who has a plan to turn all of earths teenagers into zombies to assist the incoming invasion of evil Namekians. If she's Bulma, I'm there opening night.

I joke of course....or do I?

I was going to see this movie anyway, lets not kid ourselves, but the fact the Bulma is going to be a very pretty Mexican isn't hurting any XD

Spirit of the original be damned, that right there would be the most awesome movie ever.

[GOHAN] Goku's kindly, wise grandfather, he looks like he's in his 70s but moves like Jet Li. An accomplished martial artist who trains Goku on the bow staff, he loves his grandson and is happy to prepare a special feast for him on his 18th birthday, as well as a special gift: a 3 star Dragon Ball. Tragically, Gohan is struck down by the high ninjas of the Namek-Jins, and as he dies he sends his grandson out to do face his destiny and do battle against them...

Namekian ninjas... oi vey..

also
[YAMCHA] 20s, "the bad boy who has no trouble attracting women," he taunts Goku, Bulma and Master Yoshi, who are trapped in a sand cave, rather than helping them with his rope ladder. However, after overhearing Master Roshi's tale of Piccolo once nearly destroyed the Earth and are preparing to do so again, Yamcha has a change of heart and not only helps the three in the desert, but becomes a valuable part of the team. An ingenious young man whose utililty truck is the Swiss Army Knife of trucks--every tool and gear imaginable sprouts from its body--Yamcha joins Goku, Bulma (with whom he becomes romantically involved) and Master Yoshi on their quest to find the seven Dragon Balls before Piccolo...

Well then, now that we have our Bulma, we can focus on her implementation in the film. "Pafu Pafu" scene anyone?

I'm kidding...

I quite hope it isn't. After reading all of these little casting notes, or whatever you would call them, I was thoroughly disgusted. I pray that this is some sick joke and they are not actually planning on turning this steaming pile of shit into a film. Many dumb things have been done to DragonBall in the past. If this really happens, I guess we will all just have to shrug it off until it is forgotten. *sigh* :(

I can dream, can't I? Don't forget the line from from Head Cha La - the emptier your head is the more room to pack it with dreams. Well, I'm working on one RIGHT now.

The more I see about this movie (as much of it may or may not be heresay....), the more sick to my stomach I feel. All the ideas pouring out of the woodworks from "sources" are absolutely horrendous. It's going to be rushed and poorly written, leaving me as dissastified as I was with X3.

And with all that aside (not even touching trying to make this live action, poor plot development, etc), I feel like putting new voices on characters who have a well established history and sound (be it the original Japanese voice actors or otherwise) is just going to deter from the magic of Dragon Ball and what made us all fall in love with it.

Just my two cents without bringing any real information to the table.

I think it might take some effort, but someone here could almost definitely come up with something better than what the rumors are saying. Or maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree. Wait, what?

MTV talked to singer Mario who sang the #1 hit song, "Let Me Love You," about his role in an upcoming movie. That movie is Dragon Ball.

Question: Are you working on any upcoming movies?

Mario: I’ve got a project that’s pending but it’s top secret so I can’t really talk about it.

Question: Oh, come on. Can you give us a hint?

Mario: I can say this … it has something to do with dragons and the last letter of the alphabet and there’s a lot of fans out there.

Question: Dragon Ball Z?

Mario: I’m not saying nothin’!

If things continue like this we're probably going to have 50 cent play nappa.

Anyone got $1,000,000,000 lying around to get someone to give up the rights to the movie? No? Well then... It's time we infiltrate their base of operations and plant mind control devices in the enturns!

Hmm... the way things seem to be developing, I can't wait to see the trailers for this in the movie theaters.

At this point, while I hope they do actually do a good job of it even with some of the things we've heard leaked out, I don't really care if it ends up being good or bad. I'm probably going to see it anyway; if it ends up being good, I'll thoroughly enjoy it, but if it's not, it'll be fun to poke and laugh (and wince) at all the weak parts. That's just me, though; I imagine that if it's bad, it'll be so in a humorous way.

Seriously, though; there's little use in crying over this. It's going to get made; it's that simple. I can imagine that, with enough effort, cooperation, and support, we might be able to affect slightly how it ends up turning out, but I can't see how fussing over it on a message board is going to convince them to make any changes or even to stop filming. We've just got to hope for the best... and if the best doesn't happen, oh well. It seems that some of you guys can be extremely hard to satisfy, anyway. >_>;
Art, etc. links taken down for now. Will be updated at some point. I dunno.

I think you misunderstood me.I was not referring to his skin color.I was implying that musicians/actor wannabes don't belong in this movie, it really needs good actors.

I'd not be surprised if the filmmakers realize that there is no way they can possibly please even a majority of the fans (Based on the truth of le quote; what would please a lot of people is often contradictory with DB fandom's ... diversity).
Though what that says for the product, we can't say until opening day, so... *theorizes in the meantime*
