I disagree with both of these. Roshi lasting longer than Tien and Krillin, and 18 lasting longer than Piccolo was a nice surprise and made the U7 elimination order less predictable. I just wish they treated Krillin and Tien better.
Looks like they won't even eliminate anyone in the manga..
dragonball0900 wrote:I don't approve of Roshi outlasting Krillin and Tien like in the anime. I though they would've changed that and not using that idea again, I guess it was Toriyama's idea, oh well... Just hope Piccolo does not get eliminated before 18...

That doesn't change anything about elimination order. Just like the anime, Krillin was eliminated first, and Tien was second.sintzu wrote:
Goku and Vegeta took out u9 in the anime while here Freeza and Frost did it.
OLKv3 wrote:Yep, the U7 elimination order will remain the same. Major change? Tien was the second one to go out after Krillin in the Anime too. It's just that a different person eliminated him.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
Krillin and Tien not eliminating anyone sucks but if Frost attacked Krillin it's normal that he's out. Those two have no chance against someone like Frost who could just slap them out of the ring. Yes, Toyotaro could have made Krillin and Tien eliminate some low-tier fighters, but I think he want to get rid of the ''useless'' guys quickly.

Yes, in fact Roshi anime’s performance was really cool i.m.o. , I’ll be happy if he’ll pull a mufuba at leastTheDipDap1234 wrote:I disagree with both of these. It's disappointing that Toriyama wrote nothing for Tenshinhan and Kuririn besides "they are in the team, and are the first two eliminated". Absolutely nothing else.

Thats probably exactly what he did. He barely wrote anything for trunks in the last arc to make him useful. IIRC the healing thing was a toyotaro suggestion. Goku, Vegeta, Freeza and 17 will get the vast majority of play from u7. Even piccolo and gohan i expect almost nothing fromRhuagh wrote:It's disappointing that Toriyama wrote nothing for Tenshinhan and Kuririn besides "they are in the team, and are the first two eliminated". I had no expectations for Krillin and Tenshinhan in Toyotaro's rendition of the Tournament Of Power and I'm still immensely disappointed. Really drives home how Toriyama had nothing planned for those guys. At least the anime gave them something to justify their inclusion in the Tournament Of Power.
I'm so let down by this.

Yeah I suppose so. But even so, it does make me wonder whether or not Toriyama, Toei and Toyotaro think that Krillin and Tien are weaker than Roshi or that Piccolo is weaker than 18, given all of what's happening. I mean we already have that elimination order in the anime, I don't see why it should be the same in the manga, they could've made it better from the weakest to strongest here. You also have to take into account how much of screentime and cool scenes both 18 and Roshi get than Piccolo, Krillin and Tien in the anime (I'm comparing Piccolo with 18, he did get more eliminations than Roshi in the anime I think), it would have been a nice change for something different to happen in the manga.TheDipDap1234 wrote:I disagree with both of these. Whenever I read the manga, it makes me sad when i realize just how little toriyama gives them to work with and how little he writes for anyone but the two main saiyans. Its a joke at this point

Someone needs to have the balls to tell Toriyama to give them more to work with.
