Bandai Namco has announced Dragon Ball Legends, a new mobile title set in the Dragon Ball universe with a heavy focus on fully-fledged player-versus-player online multiplayer. The game appears to be on Android (as it was shown at a Google talk), but I imagine an iOS announcement is likely.
This is such an interesting picture. If that Saiyan in the blue U6 outfit isn't a new character from the movie it may confirm there will also be created characters, which is quite dope.
The game looks very fun, definitely more than Dokkan Battle in my opinion. I'm quite hyped about it, I've been waiting for a PvP Dragon Ball mobile game for ages and this actually doesn't look complex and might have both a fun gameplay and the addictive card-collection feature Dokkan Battle has.

The new character being designed by Toriyama is interesting. He looks great too. Between this guy and Caulifla, it looks like he can actually come up with cool new Saiyan hair-styles (after Cabba's quite generic one). It's kinda like Tap Battle but in 3D over-the-shoulder instead. Also found it kinda funny they titled this game "Legends" which was a way that English DB fans used to call the PS1/Saturn game "Dragon Ball Z: The Legend" as "Dragon Ball Z: Legends".

The most interesting thing to me is that the models are modified Xenoverse models, many of the animations are from Xenoverse and the stages seem to be modified versions of the ones from Xenoverse.
Looks like they might be trying to make the XV models look a bit more like the new artstyle from the new movie.
Wonder if this is sort of a rough preview of how XV3 will look, art wise.

While the Xenoverse series is quite popular and it's very much the Tenkaichi of this generation, it's also quite a drag, a boredom and a repetitive game to play because all it takes to win is mash a button and that's it. You win.
I suppose it can feel like a "simulator" of Dragon Ball Z but as a video game it's quite lacking.

Well, this Saiyan character at least has a tail unlike the Saiyans from Dragon Ball Super.
I find it interesting that this Saiyan looks sort of like "Super Saiyan 3.5" with the somewhat long brown hair and the tail, almost a Super Saiyan 4 without going full-on.

It seems like the mysterious character that showed up in the middle of one of the trailers shares a striking resemblance to young Mechikabura. I posted a comparison on my twitter: https://mobile.twitter.com/A__Nation/st ... 0926556160
It looks like young Mechikabura with a helmet on. Even the shape of the helmet matches his hair spike shape. Even the stance of the character in the trailer looks really similar to the pic of Mechikabura from the manga down to the sideways evil eye look.

Well, if you look at my post above, i think i know who shows up in the scene with the 2 swords. But the hooded figure and the green eyed person are still unknown. They could be one and the same but who knows. Also, apparently DBLegends and the new DBS movie are doing some kind of collab so maybe one of these unknown guys is the villain for the movie or its Yamoshi.

Game is being co-developed by Dimps, explains all the Xenoverse stuff. Also makes me wonder even more if the models are early versions of what we can expect from XV3 and if the original characters might show up in XV3.
Since we also seem to be getting original DB characters I hope those show up in XV3 as well, even if they reuse a bunch of the animations from this game for them.
