Their second trailer was 5/16/16.

Film Gold came out on 7/23/16.

If we're getting treated that well, DBS' movie trailer could be out by June instead of November.

I guess part of it's the wind speed, if I want to get all meteorological. You can have more bearable snow days and harsher winter days with no snow in the ground if it's windy. At least from my personal experience with winter.

I really hope they give us some plot info soon. I'd have to research back to see how long Toei left us hanging after the initial announcements for BOG and F.

What about Battle of Gods? And yikes, that's almost a year away if they stick to the same release cycle. But I'm sure we'll be drip-fed info at certain events in Japan and of course there'll obviously be leaks while we wait.

Does anyone else like the fact that UI was basically showing what Goku's end game is? We've never really had anything like that before, it's always been oh I was stronger than before here's my new form but we know he can't use UI at will and we know once he does his journey as a martial artist and fighter will be effectively over. Instead of Whis saying we were basically shown a tease of it.

This also doesn't rule out Goku getting forms between SSGSS and UI. Hey may activate UI again in the movie but that's thing we don't know for sure. And that's whats great. I prefer it this way as opposed to him being able to but being told not to use it because his body might not be able to handle it etc.

To be fair Kaioken + Blue combination was also a huge strain to his body, but eventually he was able to kept normally (even 20x), so to take I guess: on the future Goku will probably use MUI as he uses SSJB.

Honestly, UI has to stay the end game for a while, otherwise it would devaluate it's meaning and what villain or threat is going to oppose let's say UI stacked with SSJ3 or why not even Blue on top of that (or just a form that's stronger than UI)? No, UI has to stay the benchmark in power for a long while now IMHO. Otherwise we might end up with Grand Priest or even Zalama as main threat within a few arcs time. And what's next? They're basically pretty much stuck then.

The only way to keep UI unique is to not have it accessible at will, because when transformations are, the characters end up wanting more and then toss out the last for another one. I originally thought they did this though to keep it series exclusive in case they wanted a different direction in the future or wanting to remove it to keep it consistent with EOZ (though it would have been easier if they just kept the Omen as the form, and just use it like a Buff for them rather than a form).

I don't think that Goki will get a new form. I think that eventually that Goku will be able to use MUI at will. But, they don't want to give it to him fully yet.

This is going to be a long wait it seems. Best to just make ourselves comfortable with it and move on with our lives and not expect anything. It will come when it comes. Ofcourse we will keep checking everyday as part of our standard routine, and that’s perfectly fine. It gives us something fun to do and it’s our nature xD

This is true. This year's Precure just began last month, and it's got good staff. I've also got my seasonal anime series; the last two of the four I kept up with this winter end this week and next. There's 4 replacements for those that I'm gonna try out this spring.

This thread and Ajay's animation thread on the 20th movie are gonna be where I check in around here now for the most part. It's gonna feel weird going back to movie mode, but that's life.

It really feels strange to know weekly Dragon Ball is over for the time being. Sure, there are other animes to check out and the movie to look forward too, but things just don't feel the same anymore and there's not much to discuss until we get some news from the movie and the monthly manga, which is still more or less telling a story we already know.

I'm not sad because I know this break is a very needed one so that Toei can release a well-done movie and start planning out a potential new weekly Dragon Ball show, but it surely feels weird to not have the weekly episode to look forward to and discuss. When Dragon Ball will come back, in theathres and on TV, it will feel more or less like 2013 and 2015 all over again.

Same. This spring is the season of returning big names like My Hero Academida S3, Tokyo Ghoul S3, Steins Gate 0, etc and I'm still watching Darling in the Franxx.

The wait is a long one but lets hope other anime can hold me over.

i was wondering...how are they able to pump 10 episodes in 10 weeks (200 minutes worth of episodes), but it takes months/years to push out a 90 minute movie? i feel like we should get the Dragon Ball Super movie sooner. Waiting until December is going to hurt!

If the question is how they are able to pump out 10 episodes in 10 weeks, the answer is they don't.

The production of an episode takes months and months of time, from the planning process, to the storyboarding, to the layouts, to the actual freaking animation, to make a single episode is an extremely extensive process.

I think with how rushed Super's production is, and how long it takes to produce even a bad episode, for them to produced a polished movie, its unsurprising that they started the production nearly 2 years before they planned for it to air.

If you're really hurting for new Super-related content to tide you over til the movie, you could check out the new Prison Planet Arc material for Super Dragon Ball Heroes over in that thread. The new storyline involves Future Trunks and Mai, plus what appear to be the Super versions of Goku and Vegeta. It even has SSB Goku fight SS4 Time Patrol Goku!

We most likely won't be getting word on that for months, considering FUNi's gonna have to make deals on top of recording the episodes of the anime.
