Can we all agree that while Goku can't ordinarily go UI, he can still use the form if pressured to do so?

Because I've just seen a lot of people saying "Oh yeah, Ultra Instinct is something that's out of the picture." No its not, its just something that can only be accessed on occasion and specific circumstance.

It's never been depicted as something he can just access on his own, and didn't Whis say when he was fighting Kefla that it would become more difficult to trigger each time?

But that doesn't mean its impossible to access.

When Goku fights stronger opponents than those his fought currently(people stronger than Jiren), I'm sure the form will have a resurgence.

I know. I was just agreeing with you by pointing out that Goku not being able to access it was consistent with its previous depiction. Heck, what Goku told Vegeta is more or less the same thing he told him in 110. "I duuno, it just happens."

I think the reason they didn't use Kaioken and Evolution in their spar is really simple. We wouldn't have that lovely image at the very end if they had.

Vegeta would have been defeated in 1 blow easily. SSB Evolution doesn't really belong in the same conversation as UI at this point. We saw how much higher the ceiling was for Goku's limit breaking power in 130. I wouldn't be surprised to see Evolution get bodied by the villain in the upcoming movie in favor of Goku's UI. It just goes to show how inferior Vegeta will always be to Goku, that his peak potential is far outclassed by UI. It made the ending cut that much more nauseating with Toei still trying to force this noncompetitive rivalry down our throats.

I'm under the assumption SSBE and SSBKK20 are the equivilants. It makes sense they are in blue. It's like their comfortable ssj 1 used to be in Z. They don't normally start their fights at max energy. It's safe to assume they are simply not at full strength at that point.

If UI remains it will be the new last ditch attack like spirit bomb. But without the ramp up period(Replaced with getting face pounded till nearly dead. So, he basically has a solo all purpose spirit bomb.). It fits goku's fighting style. It was ironically even triggered by a spirit bomb.

Vegeta wasn't using Blue Evolution because Goku wasn't using Kaioken.
