Super Saiyan Blue's best moments
Re: Super Saiyan Blue's best moments
Easily Mastered Blue vs Merged Zamas. This fight really showcased the threat of an evil Supreme Kai, and it was interesting to see Zamas' unique fighting style rather than Goku Black's. This was also a great introduction to the completed form of SSGSS.

Personally, I wasn't a fan of Hit's role in either version of the fight. In the manga, he's too much of a pushover. In the anime, his Time-Skip ability is far too overpowered and led to the introduction of completely broken countermeasures like Kaioken Blue. One medium was a little more reasonable with its scaling, but lacked suspense, while the other medium was the complete opposite of that.JazzMazz wrote:I don't understand how anyone could have genuinely enjoyed that fight.
I feel like there was certainly room for a much easier compromise. For example, giving Hit's technique all the same weaknesses and limitations it exhibited in the manga while also making his full power exactly as strong as Super Saiyan Blue would have most likely combined the merits of both approaches without raising any eyebrows.

Goku vs Hit isn't my favourite fight in the that tournament either(that would go to Vegeta vs Hit hands down). I found the fight in episode 39 pretty underwhelming for a final confrontation(namely due to the fact the previous episode was measurably better in every respect), however, I think it more than delivered in terms of basic entertainment, as non-sensical as it got by the end of the episode.Marlowe89 wrote:Personally, I wasn't a fan of Hit's role in either version of the fight. Dragonball is a show built on fights, specifically spectacle. Its a literally a show where flying aliens power up by screaming and shoot giant balls of energy at each other, its not exactly the most coherent or reasonable premise for the action of a show to begin with. As you yourself stated, one is coherent, but lacks any sort of suspense, while the other is very suspenseful though isn't particularly the most coherent thing ever. Which version do you think nailed the aspects most important to franchise whose major appeal comes from engaging fights?
Also, I completely agree with your compromise. I myself often floated around with the idea of having the fight in the manga continue after that Kamehameha, and due to expending so much energy in the blast, both fighters end up being completely even in a gruelling showdown where they both rapidly become more and more damaged.
