It wouldn't make a diffrence Godo. While I agree with you 101% it's still not our boards and we get no say in it. I usually just post whenever I have an idea and stay away for the rest of the time.

I've contacted Xyex about cleaning Daizex Randomness up and make it more user friendly.

I'm awaiting his answer.

It's funny as everytime I think that something is bad here, and tell what I think, people write me PM's and thank me for doing so and also they tell me not to leave. That's also the case with this discussion. People don't say what they think because of that they are afraid to do so.

I would make a post citing everything you've claimed you haven't done in this thread that you've contradicted yourself on, but I really don't have the time or energy right now.

All I can say is that you seem to have a memory worse than that of, to quote another on this forum, "a lobotomized goldfish".

I'll leave that there for now and come back and support my point when I'm not worrying about finals. But as offensive as what I just said may be, it really is true. You may have a point, Godo, but you're not exactly the best at articulating it.

Just because someone disagrees with you completely doesn't mean they're sucking up. Yes, this board is run a lot differently than other boards out there. But you knew this BEFORE you joined. If you don't like it, why did you join in the first place?

It was mainly because he was mocking me, but you don't see that because you are in a defensive position. Basic psyological knowledge.

You are forgetting something...what I thought in the past about one thing is not nessecarily the same now.
Plus, I didn't know shit before I joined. Also, VegettoEX has gotten lazier as an Admin ever since I registered.

With the direction this conversation is taking I see it as less of a chance that any suggestions will be taken very seriously. Personally, I understand both sides, there is a forum where people can go and talk about whatever they want, but at the same time, sometimes it's hard to really get to know the people you're posting with and feel as strong a sense of community when you can never talk about anything else. Don't get me wrong, I don't want a crazy forum where people just post whatever they want, I'm not really sure where I am going with this...I guess the best bet would to be to use the randomness forum.

No, only one individual is actually. At least last I checked this thread. I think we can all put the "doomsday scenarios" back on the shelf for now.

And if apparently people are afraid to say what they think on this forum, perhaps then they should stop talking in private and just come out and say instead of PMing one member and whispering here and there. Just a thought. Yet the people here actually talking are the ones that are supposed to be the cowards with no backbone....?

We have a message board and a chat room and many users have AIM or YIM or ICQ or MSN links so you can talk to them over I'm, and you can be as off-topic as you want in PMs. I've got a strong sense of community with the people here that I talk to, those who I talk to just on the boards and those who I talk to off of them. Hell, I met my Fiancee here, for crying out loud.

Even back when the forum had just really started going some of us wanted to talk about things other than Dragonball. We asked Mike then about an off-topic board and he expressed his desire to keep the boards here focused to prevent, well... basically to prevent exactly what happened on the introductions boards.

And we were fine with that. Why? Because we knew it was Mike's board, thus it is run the way that he wants it to be run. And we weren't too lazy to use I'm services and IRC or to make and use a new board to talk about other things. That's why Random is currently going so slowly. The old memebers that actually cared for an off-topic area are gone and the new members just want to complain about not having it.

That's basically why I said the best option is the randomness board. I don't have a problem with the way Daizex works at all, I just haven't had the opportunity to get to know many people even though I have been here quite a while. For the most part I was agreeing with you.

Not to sound like something I am not, but I don't see a thread like this serving any purpose. This only shows how a off topic thread would be handled and why it's not a good idea to have one. Who knows why VeggettoEX closed down the Introductions section. Probably because he did it as a experiment and now that is over, he found out that it would not work. fighting and arguing won't change his mind. If you have to do the whole bitch and moan show, do it on your Myspace or if you're more hip then your FaceBook. This has been VERY STUPID. JMFOS.

I don't like that it was closed either, but this is getting a bit silly - it's the Daizex Forums and he has full control on what he does and doesn't want talked about here. Nothing we can do about it.

Besides, if you wanna say hi to the new members so bad, you could, I dunno, PM them? That's what I'm doing whenever I see someone posting in the intro thread.

And people, you didn't need to bash at the people promoting the board. Seriously, there is reason as to why Godo left. He took those reasons too seriously, but some of you guys just wouldn't stop getting on everyone else's case just because they had an opinion - and I'm not talking about the season sets debate, that's another story.
