There's little to no information so far but with them making 2 episodes for July 1st I highly doubt they're going to wait a year to air the rest after Kintaro.

Oh no. I'm surprised it took them this long. I was gonna say that this is really gonna confuse the dub fans expecting more DBS until I realized that the dub hasn't even finished Zamasu yet and there's no way in hell this is getting a Western release.

Do people mind the animated commercials for Dragon Ball Heroes? Do people mind Heroes existing? If not, then there's no reason to hate this. It's just going to be a handful episodes, probably not even full length, that give some more context for the stuff that goes on in the game. As someone who tries to keep a close eye to what Heroes is doing, with how shit it presents it's story, it's very cool to actually get to understand what is going on within all the crazyness.

Hell, I hope they start doing this for every original arc Heroes does. It doesn't hurt the main series in any way and if it proves even half-way successful they might relegate the fanservice to this type of stuff and make sure the main plots are better. Win win.

At least 50 episodes.

Where was that stated? It's not impossible for it to end at the end of September and for this new anime to air in October, especially with certain Toei Animation staff MIA.

Toei's international branches have also been selling the show as 50 episodes.

If this is a just a throwaway promotional stunt show (vs. a longer-term TCG ad TV series), it may just be an ONA project. That's not uncharted territory for Toei.

Well... this is something.

Heroes material being fleshed out into an anime has been speculated for years. And honestly, I'm shocked it took Toei and Bandai this long to pull the trigger on something like this.

I really have thought for all these years this was inevitable and now at last it happens.
I expect them to really start producing other material that isn't solely the main story anymore.

The "Dragon Ball Room" is really having an impact.

Dragon Ball is going full MCU.

Are people upset about this? It's non canon dumb fun....that's it. As long as it effects nothing in the main universe, then I don't see the harm. That means it can be easily ignored as it is it's own thing. I've always wanted a Dragon Ball anime that did it's own take, so it could pretty much be free to do as it pleases.

Why should I trust them?

The show is made to sell toys, it will last for a long time if toys are selling well. I doubt it will get a Western release unless a toy deal is made in the US. Heroes fits better on a kids channel in the US than on Toonami.
