A rumor about Capcom from a while ago

I remember reading this mabey 2-3 years ago, something involving Capcom producing a DBZ game.

Was this a crazy fanboy rumor, was it proven false?

It ended up being that a producer from Street Fighter 2 was heading up Super DBZ.

I remember that rumour, it was even in a sidebar of a Hong Kong video game magazine I bought way back. They were speculating over and hoping for DBZ Vs Capcom. I'd always wondered how amazing that game would look if it ever came true but Super Dragonball Z didn't disappoint either.

I personally dont want DBZ vs Capcom. Most Capcom characters focus on hand to hand combat than crazy finishing moves. Itd be an unfair fight

Then again, Krillin shouldn't be able to beat Majin Buu but he can in Super DBZ.

That doesn't keep D.O.N and Jump Ultimate Stars from being great games.

That's how they would've been against Marvel characters normally, but it worked.

Reminds me of when DBZ started on CN, and buddy and me who were Street Fighter fans compared the two saying we wanted a game like that. We also when Frieza arrived thought of it as if Vegeta was Bison, then Frieza was Akuma.

I hate all Vs games. Like Marvel vs Capcom...that's just a weird game. Fun to play in the arcades (I remember 6th grade, every day going to the arcade to play that after school lol Fun time), but the idea of it is pretty awful. I don't like crossovers...like that. I mean because it's completely different styles. You can't really bring Spider-Man into a Capcom world where everyone is buff out of their mind and some even have big eyes (Mega Man?). The style is just different. Just like DBZ. It would make a crappy crossover for virtually anything, because it has a unique look that's different than other Animes. I mean just looking at the eyes, you can immediately tell if it's an Akira Toriyama drawing.
