The stages that modders do don't even come close to the official ones and modders aren't creating new missions, story and more.

I called it that Gogeta, Bardock, and something Broly related would be in the movie before it was even announced that it was a Broly movie.

I've finaly gotten back to XV2 to clear out the last few trophis and go it is insufferable having to skip the same cutscenes and listen to the same dialogue over and over for the Tokipedia.
The missions are fine, quick enough where they don't get too boring but jesus. I'm only like 45% but yeah.

I mean, if the modders are so superior to the developers, why wait for XV3? Why don't the modders make their own game?AnimeNation101 wrote:It always annoys me when people bash the devs in favor of the modders as if the modders do a better job.
Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE 2" Official Discussion Thread
I love the fact that they are adding so much content to XV2. However, in doing this, I would really like to see an enormous leap between this and XV3.
I would love if they took the time to focus on the game's RPG elements and make this somewhat of a hybrid MMO like Destiny is. Now I know what you're thinking, a lot of people do not like Destiny, but I'm talking about the style of the game and how I think it could truly benefit the XV series. Here are my ideas:
1. Make a longer story mode and make it co-op
One of the aspects of Destiny I do enjoy is jumping in a mission and seeing other players already in there with the option to join up with them or keep play solo. This would be so much fun in XV. The story mode in XV2 was so similar to the original, that I didn't enjoy playing it at all. In fact, I found myself rushing through it just to hurry up and play online and flying around Conton city. If they improved the story, made it co-op, and added new story elements every few months or so, I think the game could go a long way. Especially considering how long they've been supporting XV2.
2. Borrow from Story mode elements from DBH
I know Rhymestyle has talked about this quite a bit, but a split faction style story mode where you can choose between being a Time Patroller or Time Breaker would be amazing! There is SO much you could do with this. You could have PVP events based around preventing changes in history vs making changes in history. Players who choose to be Time Breakers can start in a different Hub world from Conton city and only have access to Evil Mentors, while Patrollers have access to the Good Mentors. There are two different sides of the story mode depending on which faction you choose. If anyone has ever played DCU online, they do this fairly well. Most of the missions are the same, just done from a slightly different perspective if you choose to be a villain over a hero. Also, the can have a similar release cycle like heroes where each new "mission" is an arc that expands the story. They can make this small, or huge, with the latter being like an expansion.
3. Turn events such as the Frieza Invasion to Co-op/PVP events
Add more events like this and make them online events. For example, instead of just a Frieza invasion, maybe you have Babidi come and try to recruit characters for his Majin Army, or a version of Cell trying to absorb people for energy. The point is to make a lot of online events, especially since a lot of the advertising of the game was based around playing with others online.
4. Improve the mission rewards to keep giving players something important to play for
Make the gear in the game actually mean something that truly changes your stats. Give access to better gear as you level up. Maybe add power levels to the series as a way to track your progress. But the need to give players a reason to keep playing and trying to power up.
5. Add more races and transformations
While I've never had the chance to play DBH, I've read enough about it to know that each race has an equal number of transformations so Sayians aren't the only ones with multiples. This is a game and does not have to be true to the series. So while Saiyans have SSJ, SSJ2, SSJ3, and God, they give each race a Class-up, which allows them to transform as well. This balances everything out. Additionally, they should provide specific roles for each race. I know in DBO, that Namekians were tanks and healers, Majins were the buffer race, and Humans/Saiyans were the DPS race. XV kinda does that now, but it's not really refined.
I would welcome this change as I think it would add so much more to the series and allow us to play for years to come. Like I said earlier, they've been supporting XV2 for nearly two years, so why not do that with XV3 as an MMO lite game. Destiny is a great model because its not a traditional MMO, but the style would work greatly with XV.
Thoughts?

Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE 2" Official Discussion Thread
Actually some get transformation, some do not. Majins, androids (except the Cell lookalike) and demons do not have transformations (in the latest upgrade, it was given to them blue eyes. A very minor change in the grand scheme of things though). All those ones get are change in outfit. People would complain as soon as they realize that in reality, it was all a matter of change in outfit for the avatars, instead of an actual transformation.dualist wrote:While I've never had the chance to play DBH, I've read enough about it to know that each race has an equal number of transformations
As for the avatars themselves, maybe they work in Heroes because that's a whole different thing going on over there, but even in Xenoverse, Saiyans and Freeza race feel weird to me. After all, they're themselves a huge fanservice/what-if. In Dragon Ball Online, we get to play with only three classes because of the story, everything there revolves around the plot. But how do you explain the presence of Saiyans in Xenoverse? Aren't they all wiped out? And what about Freeza race? We don't have a single word about there having good guys among them. This is why I actually don't see the need to add more races, especially ones that would not make sense.

Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE 2" Official Discussion Thread
You know what would be a cool new transformation for Majins? Super Buu form, but the character takes the clothes and attributes of their current mentor. Lore wise, it could be justified as the mentors allowing themselves to be temporarily fused with their student to help them achieve a new level of power. After the initial absorption, the Majin just remembers what it felt like to retake the form. (Makes as much sense as becoming Kid Buu with a transformation). So if you transform with Goku as a mentor, you'd get the shape of Super Buu, but with Goku's gi and skills.
A bulky form would be cool too, and easily implemented into several races. For Frieza Race, it could represent 100% Power form. For humans, it would be like what Roshi does before a Kamehameha. For Saiyans, it'd be Super Saiyan Grade 2. The advantage of the forms could be an increase in power and damage resistance at the cost of movement speed.

Well, since everyone else is doing it, let me post my DLC 7 & 8 predictions
DLC 7:
Kafla (All forms), Toppo
Tournament of Power stage
Free Update:
UI Jiren, SSBE Vegeta (Hoping for UI Omen Goku variant too)
Skill buffs/nerfs, Netcode "fix"
Notes: ToP story mode has no chance of making it in, imo. Not enough characters. Most likely XV3 material.
--
DLC 8:
Baby Vegeta, Uub, Pikkon (because he's in Legends) (Tao has a chance of making it in too, but I doubt it'll happen)
Free Update:
GoD Toppo (Unlikely, but we can all hope)
ToP character variants? Tracksuit 18, Gohan (No bang)
More skill buffs/nerfs

Shallot have Wild Cannon it's a green/yellow ki projectile fired with one arm, and Shallot's signature technique. As for Zahha he have his sword technique that he control like some Gundam funnel, his signature move is Sword Flash a yellowish ki energy wave fired from rotating swords. You know, as much as I love getting new characters, the thing I want most is being able to color every piece of clothing in the game. You can color the mentors clothes so now there is no excuse. I would come back and play more if I was able to customize the look of my character some more.
Majins: Since Dimps wants to keep the idea of a Pure Majin, then it needs to be expanded upon extensively to make up for that blunder in XV2. They forget that purity comes in two forms regarding this subject matter; Pure Evil and Pure Good. Pure Evil should not entail taking the form of Kid Buu. That is simply taking the form of the Original Majin, not tapping into the Purity of Evil that exists within themselves.
Pure Evil Majin (Male): When transformed, the player should more closely resemble Evil Buu in terms of physical stature. Yes, the Gray Buu with its sickly thin frame and dead looking eyes. That in effect was all of the Evil within Majin Buu given physical form. It made it look as if all the life had been sucked out of it. Malnurished and unpleasant. It looked weaker and yet it was incredibly powerful. When transformed the Male Majin should greatly resemble this state of near physical decay with a jaunt, skinny frame while still possessing the same attire the Player has assigned, as well as head and facial features, only being warped to suit this form. It should also exhibit a change in Aura, becoming dark and twisted like the Villainous Ki charge from Xenoverse 1.
Pure Good Majin (Male): It could be argued that the fat form is considered "Pure Good", however that's not really correct since Majin Buu (or Mr. Buu) remained unchanged physically while the Evil was a part of him and when it was separated. This I feel should change the Majin to look more like Super Buu, post Z-Fighter absorption, to have more human-like features and an adult appearance instead of the fat Mr. Buu's innocence. A form perhaps drawn from the Kaioshin as their energy also became part of Buu's being, and would thus also be a part of every Majin that spawned from him. And it should keep the same outfit, of course, and facial features made to match the new form. The Aura should look gentler and lighter colored, looking more like whispy swirls than jagged energy
Pure Evil Majin (Female): Like the male counterpart, this form should look drained of life and vitality, but unlike the male Majin, the females features should be more twisted like those of a witch. More bonelike, twisted fingers and sunken eyes. Hunched over and clawing the ground. The aura twisting viciously. The outfit remaining the same, if duller tones, and the facial features a bit more twisted. The 'hair' pieces looking more angular and limp as opposed to the smoothness it had originally.
Pure Good Majin (Female): Since female Majin already have a slender appearance, you think it'd be easy to just keep them as they are with few changes. Actually, the change should be simple yet noticable. They gain a bit of girth, look more womanly, given more defined features. As if losing their innocnce to becoming an adult, yet still possessing that goodness of heart that the Kai's possessed. Aura a lighter hue and gentler, like whispy streams or even particles of light.
Differences in abilities between Pure Good and Pure Evil. The Pure Evil form I feel should give a much bigger increase in power to special attacks, but also draining ki faster and lowering their defensive stats, making them take more damage as a trade off. Pure Good Majin shouldn't have a large increase in damage output, but instead have higher stamina and ki recovery along with greater speed.
As for Earthling's, Roshi's buff state is really just him. Earthling's should have Awakened Potential, Potential Unleashed and then Ultimate Kaioken. UKK essentially being Potential Unleashed (Ultimate Gohan) combined with and bringing out the absolute limit of the Kaioken technique, in a way only Earthling's can because they lack the biological transformative abilities of the other races and thus are forced to rely on pure technique

Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE 2" Official Discussion Thread
Lets be honest. Most dont just want copies or combinations of the potential unleashed or kaioken transformation. The buff form is something any human can obtain since Matser Roshi is a human. They might as well just use that instead of using transformation concepts that are already for all races. Feels like a cop out.Zelvin wrote:Literally my ideas in the XV3 wishlist for transformations.ZeroNeonix wrote:You know what would be a cool new transformation for Majins?
I called it that Gogeta, Bardock, and something Broly related would be in the movie before it was even announced that it was a Broly movie.

Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE 2" Official Discussion Thread
To be fair, Roshi's "buff form" is also something pretty much any race can do. Frieza's done it (and even made it a racial thing based on dialogue with Frost in the anime) and Saiyan's have done it via Ascended Super Saiyan. Humans pretty much don't have anything unique to them (unless you count androids, which is a permanent thing and not a transformation), which was the point of Nimbus+Power Pole since they're both earthly artifacts that could potentially be made "unique" to humans.
Honestly, I think they should have done what Online did. Make the Humans and Saiyans the same race. Give the racial differences applied to humans to Shinjin or Demons instead.
Also, I think they should remove the difference between "Strike" and "Ki". Make it a single stat called "Special" so we're not forced to choose between Kis and Strikes for optimization. The game is incredibly biased towards the former anyhow, and it wouldn't really change how people build their stats.
