Volume 4 sold 150,000 copies in 4 days. For Volume 6 to sell 157,000 copies in 7 days means it's selling slower.
Volume 5 sold 121,000 copies in 3 days and 219,000 copies in 10 days so that's probably gonna be its peak.

Too late for that now, they're in the latter half of the last saga to be adapted.sintzu wrote:Or moving the manga over to weekly jump.
Though maybe if the anime comes back and they continue doing the manga then this time they could start it in Shonen Jump.

It's Dragonball, can't they make an exception and open a weekly slot?Bullza wrote:Too late for that now, they're in the latter half of the last saga to be adapted.

I'm not sure if Toyo would be capable of handling a weekly slot personally, I mean, his already having troubles handling chapters on a monthly basis.Miracles wrote:It's Dragonball, can't they make an exception and open a weekly slot?Bullza wrote:Too late for that now, they're in the latter half of the last saga to be adapted.

My guess is that dbs is the main product of the vjump, weekly jump has enough good original products . Dbs is a sequel.JazzMazz wrote:I'm not sure if Toyo would be capable of handling a weekly slot personally, I mean, his already having troubles handling chapters on a monthly basis.Miracles wrote:It's Dragonball, can't they make an exception and open a weekly slot?Bullza wrote:Too late for that now, they're in the latter half of the last saga to be adapted.

I wish that weekly, but it’s clear he needs assistants, like for example one piece has to keep that deadly pace .
We are talking about that but we don’t even know for sure if this manga is gonna continue after the top arc.
That’s the key to raise the sales , offer some unseen material . Comicalization of an anime with some changes it’s not worthed for them to be weekly, and it’s good for that monthly magazine I guess ...
Manga in Japan is a big cake , imagine that 2% of the population it’s buying every one piece volume ...
Just hope that November 21 chapter will end this arc with some hints for the movie and future events

I think its no secret that Toyo isn't the most professional mangaka out their, so I'm genuinely unsure if he'd be able to handle the insane pressures of doing chapters on a weekly basis when his still struggling with getting stuff out on a monthly one.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
If you want DBS to leave V-Jump and become a weekly WSJ manga, you need a new artist. It's that simple
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
Weekly manga series are extremely taxing and historically mediocre even with editors, with Dragon Ball being one of the few exceptions as far as the latter goes. The moment a mangaka runs out of pre-planned ideas is when their work starts to take a massive nosedive in writing quality, and that's just on top of the stress that comes with ensuring that the artwork is up to par on such a tight schedule. The fact that Toriyama didn't simply overcome those hardships but also brilliantly spun them to his own distinct advantage blows my mind to this day.
Whether Toyotaro can handle something like that is entirely up in the air. Most people can't. He's certainly handling the manga just fine on a monthly basis for the most part, notwithstanding the usual exaggerations and paneling/art nitpicks.

Toriyama could get Toyotaro an editor and some assistants to compliment him.JazzMazz wrote:I think its no secret that Toyo isn't the most professional mangaka out their, so I'm genuinely unsure if he'd be able to handle the insane pressures of doing chapters on a weekly basis when his still struggling with getting stuff out on a monthly one.

I am pretty sure he has an editor and about assistants,I’ll say no because he has complained a few times on Twitter about shortage of time.Miracles wrote:Toriyama could get Toyotaro an editor and some assistants to compliment him.JazzMazz wrote:I think its no secret that Toyo isn't the most professional mangaka out their, so I'm genuinely unsure if he'd be able to handle the insane pressures of doing chapters on a weekly basis when his still struggling with getting stuff out on a monthly one.

Even with monthly toyo&tori did make many mistakes like a weird scale between characters. Moving it over to weekly will destroy the series itself, it would be cut off rapidly even with the credits from tori. I think the only way they could do if they really want to move to weekly is, changing the writer. It's too much for toyo obviouslysintzu wrote:Or moving the manga over to weekly jump.Bullza wrote:Just promotion I imagine.majinwarman wrote: What could be done to improve those sales?

The author is toyotaro doing story and art based on some write that Toriyama did , and Toriyama supervises the raw material of Toyotaro acting as an editor .. , I think that’s the way A.T wants so he only have to deal once a month with those raws , deal once a week might be to much for Toriyama.
Toyotaro just needs some good assistants and put a better final eye on his product before sending to print , those mistakes he did were really easy to fix , he’s been non careful with little details.
I need spoilers today
