I'd be happy if this game covers the entire series.

The game should be awesome. Greg over at APforums played it at Jump Festa and said:
"DBZ Burst is un-fucking real. It's like I predicted in the thread, just like you controlling the animation. All this in HUGE flowing environments. Words fail to describe, it's unlike anything you've ever seen outside of rendered cutscenes."
Sounds awesome to me.

Did anyone catch the (as Sparking! calls it) "Angry Kamehameha" mini- cut scene on the top screen?, I want to see more!
The graphics look pretty decent, but I don't really understand how now that they have the proper hardware to really mimic the look of the show, we still get Auras and effects that look nothing like the anime.
I want to see stage textures that have a handpainted look to them, so far this looks like a high resolution version of Budokai 3.
Am I the only one that thinks it's strange how with the huge jump in polycount, they still managed to make Vegeta look wierd?, at this point there really isn't an excuse to have the characters modeled perfectly.

Yeah. The Naruto PS3 project character models look very close to the anime, and I was hoping that the first DBZ on PS3 would look identical to the show..it turns out Vegeta and Nappa look horrible, (that was the first thing I noticed.) and while the graphics are good, I've seen so many better looking next-gen games.Captain Awesome wrote:Did anyone catch the (as Sparking! calls it) "Angry Kamehameha" mini- cut scene on the top screen?, I want to see more!

But the manga was, we know what the characters should look like, It's not a huge gripe, as apart from Nappa and Vegeta, the characters I've seen so far look pretty good.DominatorLost wrote:I honestly don't see what's wrong with them, the show wasn't spectacularly consistent anyway.
I think Super Dbz set the bar for character models, in terms of accurate proportions etc, they just suffered from poor shading and textures.
I'm looking forward to this game, I'm just having a hard time understanding with all the extra power under the hood, they are still having trouble with the basics.
I don´t think they look just like in the show too.
Budokai has its own style that is pretty solid.
The show changed the style lots of times but Budokai 3
draws everybody with the same style, and it is near the style of
the end of Dragonball Z, not GT though.
In the end we can get decent fighters like Kid Gohan or Kid Goku
with good style of drawning, against the "close to the show"
"Kneaded face" that is not cool and some guys have it.

Dragonball might ultimately return to its old videogame roots and like many other licenses, just be producing games that are mediocre. I hope not anyway and hope for this to be pretty groundbreaking.Captain Awesome wrote:I'm looking forward to this game, I'm just having a hard time understanding with all the extra power under the hood, they are still having trouble with the basics.
probably over 9000 characters
I read a comment on a video that this was coming out in spring. I know how Youtube comments can be, so I decided to come here and ask you guys if this was true.
