It takes less than an hour to teach someone to "fall well" from a standing position. I doubt they're going to be dropping Emmy Rossum from any great distance, so I'd guess there's more to it.daveeb wrote:Some parts of martial arts training has to do with learning how to fall well, and avoid injury. I'd prefer it if the actresses would not get injured.

So, does anyone have any kind of idea on what an answer to my question would be? Incase no one noticed it, it was
FindKenshi wrote:Anyone here who knows a lot about Hollywood, and/or copyright laws in general? I'm curious about something. Once this movie comes out (assuming it does good enough to spawn merchandise sales), does Fox have the rights to sell the rights to the MOVIE-ADAPTATION, so that they could make the video game, Dragonball: The movie: the game. Or a comic book (considering most of the major action movies that have been coming out all end up getting Movie: The Comic Book)?
I'm just not sure how the rights and liscensing goes. I mean, Dragonball is licensed TO Fox by Shueshia, right? So it's probably more likely that they wouldn't be able to make all that stuff based on the movie, eh? Or would they?

So they can't license merchandise based directly on their movie? That's all I'm really wondering. IE, there will be no Dragonball Movie: The Game or any other such thing?JAPPO wrote:They have the MOVIE RIGHTS. Nothing else.
By the way:
You sure you're not just remembering a screencap from Dragonball Online?Chuquita wrote:I have this one shot from some guidebook of her (Toriyama's Bulma) in a Kame gi, but I doubt whoever's making this movie has seen that.

I have both files too, I remember getting them from this forum actually? Could be wrong.Chuquita wrote:Not a clue. All I have is that I got it in late November of 05 according to the file. ^_^;Chibi Mystic Gohan wrote:Which guidebook is that from?
I also have a page that shows Oolong and Puar's shapeshifting school and Bulma's then-would-be wedding dress.
Anyway, speaking of wrong, I certainly do hope Bulma isn't going to be a fighter in the movie.
That's hot.Chuquita wrote:I give you, Bulma in a Kame gi.

I'm pretty sure FUNimation or Atari has the video game rights. So unless Atari / FUNimation agree to make one, there won't be any Dragon Ball: The Movie video games.FindKenshi wrote:So they can't license merchandise based directly on their movie? As for a comic, same deal.
A movie soundtrack (OST), however, is definitely allowed.
If challenge had a taste, you'd be quite delicious.
