Hell yes!
I just watched the trailer and now I must get a PS3 ASAP! This looks amazing. A bit dissapointing that it looks like they might be stopping with Cell (but then again, Cell's only seen briefly and none of the Androids are so maybe they just aren't that far into production yet? .... Or maybe Cell's a bonus character and this is just for the Saiya-jin and Freeza sagas?) but it'll help keep the cast down and give them more time to iron out and perfect everything at least.
Hmmm. My guesses for the US title are: "Dragonball Z: Budokai Unlimited", "Dragonball Z: Ultimate Budokai" and "Dragonball Z: Budokai 4" since "Shin Budokai" is already taken by the PSP games....

EDIT:
Of course you don't see Majin Buu or Majin Vegeta or SSJ3. There aren't ANY post Freeza scenes. We get a second of Cell preping the Kamehameha and a half second of Gohan starting to go SSJ2 and that's it. Hence my thoughts that this is still not far enough along for such things as that.I can see Reccom, I can see Gynyu, but I can´t find the others from
gynyu force, I can´t find majinbuu or majinvegeta or SSJ 3..
Well.. I pass. sorry.

<Xyex> Original Freeza never sounded like a chick to me.
<Kaboom> Neither does Rita
<Xyex> Good point.

O-k!
I must belive in you my friend because if it is something that fits like
a REMAKE of the first budokai I am not buying!
I NEED cutscenes from majins for crying out loud.
To accept a fighting game till cell now is like to swim swim swim and
still dying in the same beach. I had to wait for three sparkings that I
hated and now I cant wait to get a budokai 4 that is worst than b3.

They made Piccolo's beam cannon the wrong f'n color again. Since when was it purple!? One game gets it right and then the other series has to go and make it purple. I am really tired of sitting through the same story over and over too. If I have to hear "WHAT YOU'RE MY BROTHER!?" one more time. Oh well at least I could try to get my boyfriend into the show with this game since it seems to represent DBZ nicely and I can’t get him to watch the anime.
Aro started to laugh. “Ha, ha, ha,” he chuckled.- Actual quote from Twilight

Actually, Atari's going to have to start avoiding such things like the plague. With the PS3 being region free it opens up the entire North American market to importing the Japanese version. If Atari (assuming they still hold the distribution rights come the release of Burst Limit. And if not, whoever takes their place) wants to avoid losing profits they'll need to make the NA release superior to the JP version. This means retaining all the material from the JP release of the game and adding in extra content (English voice track, maybe some new BGM tracks, or some sort of bonus material).snaku wrote:I hope they keep Kageyama's song in the US release, but I know they'll just cut it out.![]()

Hm, yeah it looks great and so on, but I have to admit, I am not THAT impressed by looking at all this :/
I mean, in the end, it is important to see, what this game plays like and so on.
But for now, there are already some little details that I didn't like - apart from the great looking overall-thing ^^
(examples: clothes and colors -> Nappa's clothes for instance are too bright imho and Goku's clothes are again only light orange and blue, not the dark tone his clothing had back then; the stage in which Goku and Vegeta battle will hopefully not be the stage in which this fight takes place in-game, it reminds me of having to fight Majin Vegeta with windmills in the background...; SSJ1 with pupils Oo)
I know, overall the game looks like it will be great and so on, but I really hoped for some nearly "perfect" game, which apparently won't come - and these things I mentioned are all avoidable I think.
So I have that strange feeling again, that they want to make more money by just creating a good, but not perfect game (like Tenkaichi series or lol EA sports ^^).

Or maybe Burst Limit. I mean, it is in English already.Hmmm. My guesses for the US title are: "Dragonball Z: Budokai Unlimited", "Dragonball Z: Ultimate Budokai" and "Dragonball Z: Budokai 4" since "Shin Budokai" is already taken by the PSP games....
But if they do change it, I won't be suprised. :S

On a side note, SonEric84, if your real name is indeed Eric, you are the first fellow DBZ fan named Eric I've ever met, woot! XD
As do I, it sucks not having money for the things you want. lol Yeah, that's my name. I don't think I have known any fans with the same name either. Nice to officially meet you. That new song in the trailer sounds pretty sweet, I hope it shows up online somewhere soon or they come out with a single.

Hello Everybody. Talking to greg, I got useful information from him . All credit goes to him from the AP forums!

This is what he says"
Because for the most part, I dunno. I just went into it to have fun.
Started with 1p VS 2p or 1p VS Com. I chose Com. I dunno if it would even let me choose VS 2p.
Characters available were:
Goku, Krillin, Tenshinhan, Yamcha, Nappa & Vegeta.
Backgrounds available on my machine were Raditz' capsule landing site & Yamcha's desert at sunset. I saw a stormy craggy wasteland and the waterfall scene I mentioned before on other machines.
There does seem to be an assist system, I did not see any evidence of it.
There was a system involving different strengths you can choose that come in sets of three, I only had ten minutes and was taking my time with menus so I didn't ponder over it too long. Next was selecting your ultimate move. Krillin had like Kienzan and Giant Kienzan and something else I didn't read since Giant Kienzan sounded just dandy. Goku had Kame Hame Ha but screw that I said, and went with Genki Dama. I chose Yamcha for Com's assist? (again not sure of specifics or if the system was even in play)
I've said it countless times but the BG's are breath-taking. In the same respect, they're terribly dissapointing at this stage being far less interactive than anything witnessed on the PS2 or Wii versions. I noticed a few trees but never interacted with them and couldn't send anyone crashing into the beautiful mountains in the BG. Let's hope it's work in progress.
The graphics...just...just amazing. I mean really folks. This is it. While the mouth movements still look somewhat off, they aren't the South Parkian flapping jaws of Sparking. But the models. THE MODELS!!!! ACK!!!!
I'm telling everyone now, until there is a HD download available of the trailer, you have not seen anything.
So the game.
Well, it reminds me of what I vaguely remember of Sparking. Just seems a lot more tight than I recall. The responses are somewhat laggish but I think that's part of the overall system. Someone might push 'Attack' expecting a quick Street Fighter jab but it doesn't work that way. Going into the command menu I could see a list of interesting input combinations that could be not only strung together, but also countered in a number of interesting Dragonballish ways. Then when I tried out some of the commands, even though the initiation was ever so slightly delayed, once started, it became this chain of furious punches kicks, etc. etc. which could end in a number of ways. The AI was not terribly intelligent but since I was playing next to 6-year olds I can imagine there was a reason for that. There were a series of meters and gauges. I didn't bother with them because....well because I didn't want to bother with them. They seemed to fill automatically. I could tell one was a ki guage because everytime I did anything ki-related ( O button) it went down only to build back up. Square did attacking aaaaaand I didn't bother with X or triangle much at all. All I did was initiate a combo which put down the Com giving me a chance to initiate Genki Dama (Up + O) and the longer I held O the bigger it got. If the Com wasn't down/distracted, they'd respond in turn with a weaker ultimate move by charging less time than me and damaging me.
I saw other players that upon clashing at the exact time initiated an in game cut scene (very much like the show) showing their faces up close via split screen which initiated a brief power struggle via button input the intricacies of which were lost on me.
In initiating a particularly long combo I scared myself as I sent the Com flying into the sky were we finished the rest of our battle. A number of ingame cutscenes were sprinkled throughout (I'm assuming corresponding to life as Krillin was saying, "I can't win if it goes on like this!") and I also saw other players were able to initiate some truly fancy ultimate moves HOWEVER, I'm not sure if they were real time or cinematic, THAT'S HOW GOOD IT LOOKS. What I assumed was a cutscene on a players' screen may very well have been them merely charging a move just like I charged Genki Dama. I dunno, we'll see I guess.
Anyway, I kicked Krillin's ass twice with a Genki Dama finish twice, end of story.
That's my story and I'm stickin' to it."

He mentioned an HD trailer - I dunno if it's HD as it claims or not, but even if it was, it's on YouTube so the quality is lower than that anyway.

Is this video of any higher quality then the ones previously posted?

If you're watching it on You Tube, no matter what video it is, you are not seeing how remarkably gorgeous the game is. It will blow you the fuck away. Any complaints about colors, details, I wouldn't worry, I'm sure they'll be addressed in Burst Limit 2 & 3 whenever they come out.
I wasn't clear on the assist thing by the way. I saw it, and I chose an assist character for the Com but I saw no evidence of it in action during play.

I think it's probably that you didn't meet the requirements for it to happen, or whatever. I'm basing my thoughts off of how assist characters work in the Ultimate Ninja games, but I'm sure it'll be a lot different than that.
Or maybe your battles didn't last long enough. Just how quickly did you kick Krillin's ass? ^_^
