I have no interest in DBH so definitely not. The preview wasn't exactly inspiring either, and Vegetto killed all interest. Also not looking forward to Nozawa vs Nozawa after what happened in DBS #90. Not to mention SS4 looks woeful here.
Probably will only check out the fight scenes, if that.

Well, that sucks (for me) But thanks again.Ajay wrote:Ah, apparently it's changed since the magazine came out. Herms translated their new tweet:sangofe wrote:Cheers.Ajay wrote:Around 11:30am JST under the 'movie' section of their website, I believe.

After seeing the PV, I don't have high hopes at all. And I'm not that well versed on all the crazy shit that happens in the wacky world of Dragon Ball Heroes, so I'm not sure what kind of story I would be diving into.
I won't lie though, I find the idea of SSJB Goku and SSJ4 Goku fighting it out as incredibly interesting. I just don't want that battle to end anticlimactically.

I'm 98% sure the fight won't have a definitive outcome. There will be a moment where the fight's about to be decided, an enemy will show up, and they'll team up to fight it together. They'll then have a neutral conclusion where both Gokus go "Wow you sure are strong. I'd like to fight you again."Lord Beerus wrote:After seeing the PV, I don't have high hopes at all. Out of all the fantasy match-ups in Dragon Ball, SSJB Goku vs SSJ4 Goku is near the top of my most requested list. And I want a definitive conclusion to that fight, or I will flip all the fucking tables.
Spoiler:
Re: Are you excited about the Heroes anime? Or not?
They almost certainly won't have a definitive end, as they won't want to upset one side or the other of the SSB/SS4 fans. Not trying to be pessimistic, just saying, get ready to be disappointed.
Re: Are you excited about the Heroes anime? Or not?
I'm kind of glad that, after Super, which went back and forth between being incredible and being incredibly frustrating, I finally have something unambiguously bad that I can bash without any guilt. So I'm excited for it in that sense, yeah.
Re: Are you excited about the Heroes anime? Or not?
They'll probably want to have that fight happen again so having a winner will kill the hype it could build in the future.Forte224 wrote:They almost certainly won't have a definitive end, as they won't want to upset one side or the other of the SSB/SS4 fans. They could just have heroes' characters be characters in the dragon world with their own backstories, there's no need to have DB be this fictional world within a fictional world.Xeogran wrote:I just want kids being transported into the Arcade Machines like in the Trailers. July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

I'm not expecting anything at all other than fight fight fights. Even seeing SS4 Goku and SSB Goku encountering each other doesn't do much to excite me.
Re: Are you excited about the Heroes anime? Or not?
I am quite interested in it as the plot is more interesting than me than any portion of Dragon Ball Super, and outside of that it's something that promises (and hopefully delivers) entertainment being able to see new variations of our favorite villains.

I wonder why Prime Goku didn't react surprised when Xeno Goku went SSJ4. It was like he had seen the form before and didn't care.MonkeyKing16 wrote:Even seeing SS4 Goku and SSB Goku encountering each other doesn't do much to excite me.
A little too late but yeah, I've been officially active in Kanzenshuu for ten years

Re: Are you excited about the Heroes anime? Or not?
Before seeing episode 1, I had no interest. I thought it would be everything I thought was lame about Super without any of the stuff I thought was great about it.
After seeing episode 1, I'm looking forward to the rest of the run. It's stupid, it's goofy, it doesn't make a lot of sense, but it kind of goes with it; it's a fun little 9-minute piece of what will probably end up being a fun little stupid thing based on Dragon Ball, rather than being a 25-minute piece of an ongoing serialised story that continues on from where Kai left off.
It's no masterpiece, but I imagine it'll go down as being about on a similar level as the more middling movies that were a bit goofy and stupid, but a fun way to spend 45 minutes.

The point of Dragon Ball is to enjoy it. Never lose sight of that.

Re: Are you excited about the Heroes anime? Or not?
Well I'm personally happy with any new Dragon Ball content we get, so I was somewhat looking forward to the Heroes promotional anime even if it was just fanservicey trash.
The first episode was... fine. I don't really have any qualms because it has no bearing on the main timeline and I saw no glaring animation screw-ups, bad music placement or phoned in voice acting on one viewing of the first episode. As a 9 minute piece of harmless entertainment was it worthwhile, especially on a day when I need something to do to kill time? Absolutely. The novelty of seeing Super Saiyan 4 in anime form again was worth admission alone.

Re: Are you excited about the Heroes anime? Or not?
I can hardly describe how little interest I have in this thing without expending more energy talking about it than I have in watching it. Hell, I suppose I'm already doing that. Heroes may be popular, but, damn, this just feels like a new low in scraping the bottom of the barrel. What a bunch of fanservicing rubbish. I say this because I'm afraid, after 20 years, I might finally be at the point where I'm about done with this franchise in terms of new content. I've watched every episode of Super, but it felt like a massive chore a lot of the time. It was just so bad. I didn't want it to be bad. I wanted to like it. But it was just so boring. And now I'm honestly considering, if and when the series comes back (and I'm still holding out hope that it won't), not continuing on with it either. I'll probably check out the movie, but even with that, I can barely muster up any enthusiasm for it. Certainly a bit more than I can for Super or for this, but it's very minor. And that honestly makes me rather sad. I don't like that I've become so jaded over this franchise I've invested so much time and effort into. But there's been very little of this revival era material that is actually any good. It's been five years, and I'm just about at my limit. While there have been a few good products to come out of this era, there's been nothing to even remotely convince me that this franchise should have come back.

Each to their own. For me things have to be really, really bad to not enjoy them. And unless you didn't know heroes is all about fanservice.Gaffer Tape wrote:I can hardly describe how little interest I have in this thing without expending more energy talking about it than I have in watching it. Re: Are you excited about the Heroes anime? Or not?
But that's exactly what I'm saying. It's reached that point. The Tournament of Power is the worst story Dragon Ball has ever put out. And I say that after having just gotten used to saying Resurrection 'F' was the worst Dragon Ball movie and Dragon Ball Minus was the worst thing to carry the Dragon Ball name. This franchise just keeps pumping out almost unbearable works. For me, it is really, really bad.sangofe wrote:Each to their own. For me things have to be really, really bad to not enjoy them. And, yes, I know Heroes is about fanservice. I don't like fanservice. A promo anime that is a video game mirror match of Gokus of various multiverses... yeah, that sounds like absolute garbage to me. But sadly, fanservice is pretty much all Dragon Ball has going for it anymore, which is why I can't relate to any of it.

I'm seeing a lot of people saying it's "dumb but fun" or something to that effect. I'm getting the dumb part, the fun part, not so much.
