6. Canon Broly
7. The entire rainbow of super saiyan forms
Super sure has been brimming with originality. I guess the Champa arc is as good as it gets.
That is some good ol' fashion oversimplification if I have ever seen it
Spoiler:
Super carries on much of Dragon Ball and Z's charm in ways that might not immediately be obvious, while also bringing something new to the table. I certainly can't think of any previous arcs like Goku Black, and, for all its problems, the Tournament of Power is possibly the most ambitious storytelling endeavor in series history as far as how its narrative unfolds. It's also a thrill ride, which is all I wanted and exactly what I got. Super also canonizes decades old fan theories in ways that very naturally tie into the overall fabric of Dragon Ball's world in satisfying ways. All in all, Dragon Ball, Z, and Super are all well worth experiencing.

What will it take for you to admit this is lazy? Are you waiting until Frieza returns from the dead for the fourth time, but this time with Cooler? Super Saiyan God Ultra Instinct Super Saiyan Evolution?
My explanations for the events of my favorite current manga.
Couldn't be happier. It's like having one big dick just slapping the "Muh Canon" discussions right in the face. Always hated that pretentious argument, so now to have this happen is beautiful. Today is a very good day
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!
Spoiler:
Doctor. wrote:I've explained before, I'll just paraphrase myself.
Power levels establish tension and drama. People who care about them (well, people who care about them in a narrative) don't care about the big numbers or the fancy explosions. If you have character A who's so much above character B, who's the main character, you're gonna be left wondering how in the hell character B, the character we're supposed to care and root for, is going to escape the situation or overcome the odds. It makes us emotionally invested.
If character B doesn't escape the situation in a believable way that's consistent with previous events, then that emotional investment is gone. It was pointless tension, pointless drama made just to suck in the viewer. It has no critical value whatsoever. The audience is left believing that the author can just create whatever scenarios he wants and what happens to the characters is decided by whatever the author wants to happen, regardless of the events that happened in the story. Which, in fairness, is what happens, but the audience wants to be fooled. The audience wants to know that the world they're following has rules. That the world they're invested in isn't going to bend to external factors that are irrelevant to them.
An author can do whatever he wants with the characters, that's not false. But the author should also have the responsibility to make sure it fits in cohesively with the other events in the narrative he has created.
Oh jeez the over reactions already makes me want to steer away from when the main thread opens. People already throwing the "lazy" world around... Give me strength.

I'll get the dragon balls, you call king kai and ask the people of the universe to lend us strength to. With all that we may make it through.

You're right. What would be lazy is if they brought back frieza for this movie. Oh wait!
I would just like new characters. Maybe even a unique villain.

What will be of the original Broly? videogame-wise and whatnot.
This new Broly appears to look quite different, hopefully he hasn't the same boring story as the original, perhaps they still keep the idea that the movie comes from 17's wish. Couldn't they just change his fucking name so we don't have two Brolys in our lives? and I'm not even counting Bio-Broly.

Indeed. Today, everyone hopefully realized anything is possible in Modern DB.

There will be two. They don't have a problem putting in all the Gokus.

If we knew it would lead this, we would have known better.
Life can be very funny.
*Very cruel you mean.
I mean, we already saw Toriyama re-tell someone else's story with Minus and to say it blew would be a massive understatement. I continue to not get how and why people say this'll be good, am I observing the same franchise as everyone else or am I from Bizarro world?
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.
How the Black Arc Should End (by Lightbing!):
Spoiler:
Absolute Zamasu(my name for their fusion) wins. He fulfils his utopia and dwells in his loneliness(x amount of time for this to happen). He starts to doubt of his achievements, Goku's body influences him to seek out challenges but there's nothing. Perfection becomes a curse. Absolute Zamasu starts to dread his existence and presents himself to the Omni-King, detailing on his actions.
Using his powers the Omni-King restores everything to the moment before Goku and Vegeta perish, humanity's last barrier. Zamasu concedes. He ask for forgiveness(mainly to Goku, Gowasu and Trunks) and understands that his justice isn't justice at all. He asks for judgement and the Omni-King delivers.
Trunks is forced never to travel in time ever again, all the time-machines are destroyed.

So Toei pitched several movie ideas to Toriyama and Broly is the one he picked? Toriyama you madman.
Koitsukai wrote:We went from Yamoshi, an exciting brand new character supossed to be the original super everything, to... Broly, sigh... well, I guess 3 movies and Kale weren't enough.
Yamoshi was never promised to be in the movie. That was fan speculation run rampant. And why would Yamoshi even be the villain in a movie when he was described as a Saiyan with a righteous heart?

Finally someone who speaks the truth. The Yamoshi speculations were so rampant people started acting as if it was a given.
Good to see Broly of all characters prove that theory wrong
