So those old Z films that are being released in some US cinemas have possibly revealed some plot details.
Now originally I believed the Bardock film was being put in US cinemas because it’s the best film that fits with Saiyan history that we currently have, but my thinking has changed with Toriyamas comments implying this will be a new take on Broly. I now believe that the Bardock film is being shown because Bardock will be featured in the film because of some history with Paragus, King Vegeta will probably have some history with Paragus too. It seems that this will be the connection that will link Broly to Goku and Vegeta. I’m hoping for more over the generic revenge story, but I’ll have to wait and see. Hopefully it adds an interesting spin on a revenge story if this does end up being the case.

A lot of people are now, thanks to the three movies that were picked to be shown this year, one of which is "Fusion Reborn". Thanks to Broly being revealed, many now think that the movies sorta hint at the plot of the new movie. It's for for that reason that I'm now expecting Bardock as well.

On the poster, Broly is wearing his usual red cloth around his waist, but in the teaser it's green. What's more curious is that he seems to be wearing armour that resembles the Freeza force if we take a look at the new characters.

Freeza's new soldiers are wearing clothes with a green and purple colour scheme, just like what Broly is wearing in the teaser.

My theory is that Freeza discovers Broly and ends up recruiting him for his own personal goals. Or, for all we know, that character from the teaser trailer might not even be Broly and is just another Saiyan that Toei's hiding from us.

They said something about this movie containing more saiyans than ever before or something. Since popularity seems to be the key ingredient, Bardock finding his way into the main plot wouldn't surprise me at all anymore. Kinda expecting Future Trunks as well. Heck, Radditz seems to have a consistent fan base, despite having only about 5 minutes of importance, so maybe he'll make a return as well somehow.

Yeah... I can see that. I'm just saying that on the poster it's red and in the teaser it's green, which is what is making me theorise that he might be working for Freeza.

Overall, this is also a good opportunity to explain why some saiyans like Kale or Broly are special, and go into detail on their particular transformations.

If I were in charge, I wouldn't be suggesting concepts to Toriyama based on how popular or marketable they are.

It's not like Toriyama used Broly because he had some burning passion for the character. He was suggested to do it and decided to go along with it.

If you were in charge your #1 priority would be to bring in as much $$$ as possible and Broly, love him or hate him, brings in $$$. I'm not going to say DB is just a cash cow with 0 passion but it is a business and businesses are required to bring in $$$. Look at comics, they've been doing the same things with little to nothing new for the past 80 years so at least DB is still doing new things alongside the old.

He could've easily turned him down but he didn't and his message clearly shows he has ideas worth exploring. The "legendary Ssj" concept has a lot of potential and I think we should be happy to see it being revisited instead of it being left behind because of those 3 "movies".

No, that wouldn't be my priority. I don't care about money that much, if I was in a creative industry it would be for the sake of being creative because I'm passionate about such things.

If I were an editor or owner my I wouldn't take it upon myself to try and put popular ideas into he creator's head.

We're getting Broly and possibly Bardock and Gogeta so ssj4 on top of all that would be overkill. I think it's best to save it for another story.

Ok, if we do get a Goku and Vegeta fusion through the fusion dance, do y’all actually think we’re getting Gogeta? I’m pretty sure we’re getting Vegetto still. Gogeta from what I remember was something Toei created just so they could use it in Fusion Reborn initially. Gogeta was pretty much their Goku and Vegeta version of Gotenks. I’m pretty sure Toei made Gogeta first, then Toriyama had to create a different design/fusion (this is Vegetto) because there would be some issues and confusion using Gogeta from Toei/Fusion Reborn.

Also, Toriyama’s already rebooing Broly (a non canon character) so he can also reboot Gogeta (another non canon character) and just make him Vegetto. Having Goku and Vegeta transform into Vegetto through the potara but become Gogeta through the fusion dance makes no sense if it’s the same people.

No, that's ridiculous. There are plenty of reasons to get in creative industries beyond money. I didn't say I don't care about money at all, but it's not my main priority, and neither is making the most money possible.

Stop telling people what they'd do or what their priorities are.
