Just because we haven't seen anything of the Buu saga, doesn't mean it won't be in the game. We know it covers at least the Cell saga, because of footage of Teen Gohan going SSJ2. But maybe they didn't show anything else of it because the content isn't finished? The same could be said for the Buu saga. Or they could be planning to unveil Cell & Buu saga content over time. It wouldn't make much sense to show your entire hand with the first damn trailer, would it?

While I would like something new in terms of gameplay, I'm kinda glad Dimps is back in development for the next-gen DBZ. Hopefully they'll add a lot of new mechanics to the gameplay. Also, once again Dimps proves they're a helluva lot better while it comes to animation & effects. Spike has nothing on them. Though I am a bit worried by the blocky style.

On the topic of the Buu Saga being in this game or not...

Don't we still have a years worth of development time going into this game?

I think that AceSharp meant that if Dimps is going to spend another year developing the game they'd still have time to create content for the Buu saga.

But, from my experience, a playable demo is only prepared for a game that is at a good point in terms of production and close to release.

Yeah I don't think they will be working on this for another year. A lot of people are saying it is coming out in Q1.

There's a grand total of.... 2 PS3 games that are any good and aren't stolen from the 360. Meanwhile there are about 14 games I want for the 360
fix'd

o:

sorry for continuing the war..but seriously what he said was so wrong it made me laugh.

But yea the trailer was real good but the graphics are looking a bit like budokai 1 and look a bit "pasty". definately gonna import this for 360 O: my ps3 just gathers dust =/

Maybe from your perspective, but I like quality. :P Hence why Blue Dragon and the Naruto 360 game are the only 360 titles I want.

Anyway, someone on MFG mentioned seeing SSJ Vegetto or someone from the Buu Saga on one of the original scans that had been posted before. But I can't find the scans in this thread anymore....

Saw the trailer.

It's very pretty, Masako Nozawa and the gang continue to do an awesome job, character models are pretty nice lookin', and that song may be one of Kageyama's greatest pieces (can't wait to get that one).

...but there is NO way I'm falling for this shit again. I wasn't fooled by "NEW BATTLE FOR GOKU AND FRIENDS!" nor am I fooled by this. Yet again, we're playing the storyline of the TV show...for the hundreth, billionth time. I honestly would much rather watch THE SHOW as opposed to playing it in a video game. Either give me a new storyline of SOME kind, or give me a much more expanded Super DBZ 2. Please.

Yeah, these yearly DBZ fighting games are starting to get out of hand. And with the scuttlebutt of Sparking! 4 also coming out, we'll have TWO of them next year... and chances are neither will be as awesome as Super DBZ.
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

The good news is that this game will develuped by the same company of the original budokai games, and not the makers of Sparking! series. Enstead of Spike making another Sparking! 4, the game distributers must of relized that spike is ruining all the games, and switched it back to Dimps. And congradulations for Dimps for doing something right. Instead of focusing on a ka-jillion charecters, they decided to go to next-gen, and work on gameplay, the thing that truely matters. So, I'm actually gona buy this game. Who's with me?

Since Super DBZ had negative awesomeness, I hope not.

As long as Bandai Namco continue to make their hefty profit from these yearly DBZ games they will never stop, the only thing we can hope for is that every once in a while they give a new talented developer a shot like Crafts & Meister. I would love to see a sequel to Super Dragon Ball Z as opposed to the Sparking! games with all there superficial so called improvements.

The gameplay doesn’t look all that different from Budokai 3 and Shin Budokai, though I’m a little concerned for the laggish controls that was mentioned by omae no kaasan. Maybe I’ll be a little relieved if the director of last three games is helmed as the director, though it not likely. Looking at the trailer I doubt they spent their supposed “several” years on building a superior game engine with unique character, but this is only my impression and will hold out on a full judgement until I either seen more or played it.

I took this from the secret saiyan website, anyone notice Goku’s kiai attack that he uses as combo finisher in the Sparking! series, yeah...

This game looks awesome, I seriously hope they add the Buu saga and possibly The Original DB and GT because all there doing is back tracking whatever.

I can get both versions, I got a X-Box 360 on the 26th. and I have a 60 Gig Dis-continued PS3.

Here is where it says something about a new Sparking! game:
http://www.jeux-france.com/afficher_ima ... _1_big.jpg

It's located at the middle on the right.

All I could make out was [Sparking series wo(o) he ha] I got lost after there. I don't even know what the actual translation would be.

The scan is here. They have a picture of SSj Vegetto & SSj4 Gogeta near the top right. It isn't actual video game footage. It appears to be a table of contents to Burst Limit & a card game. Unfortunately, Burst Limit only has a picture of SSj Goku beside it. While the card game has SSj Vegetto & SSj4 Gogeta beside it.

As much as I like GT characters, I like DBZ to be kept tidy and to be just have only DBZ characters. There will no doubt be sequels featuring characters from the first and third series, but I enjoy the games that are pretty much Z-related.

If by "negative awesomeness" you mean "fast-paced Street Fighter-like gameplay, a diverse character set with unique moves and combos, not simply another playthrough of the DBZ story, several different ways to level up your characters, and characters having many alternate colors, alternate costumes, and alternate colors for alternate costumes" then I agree.

The list could go on, but I'd only be stating the obvious even more so than the above.

Look, Super Dragon Ball Z sucked compared to Sparking! and Budokai, damn the responsive controls, fluid game engine, variety of alternate colors, variety of alternate costumes and most of all danm the freash breath of air.

IT'S STREET FIGHTER Z!!!
