Freeza becoming a good guy would be the biggest jump the shark moment in Dragonball history and I'd disown any future saga that has that happen. Thankfully it's probably not going to happen.

I hope Freeza isn't in this movie. The thought of Freeza joining forces with Goku and Vegeta to fight Broly makes me sick...I may actually vomit.

We already have character designs for Final Form Frieza and new Frieza Force henchmen. It's pretty much a given that he's in it.

I too, hope something different happens with Broly’s character. But as a bonus, your opinion of wanting Broly to stick around does end up changing the status quo of the series and would end up making and impact. And thats what I’ve always wanted from Super which is also why i hope 17’s wish really did bring back universes 13 to 18 or the T.o.P would have been for nothing.

That's what I want most of all. The status quo of the series to be changed in some meaningful way. One of my biggest criticisms of Resurrection F was that it did not do this until the ToP came in with the redemption play on that story. The only change to the status quo it introduced was Super Saiyan Blue and that happened independently of Frieza's return, so once he was dead we were just back where we started.

I think this movie will also show whether anything interesting is going to happen with Frieza's character now that he's back or if he's just going to go back to the same old habits and the same old writing.

Have you not been keeping up with the news if the movie? Of course he’s gonna be in the movie. They already revealed his Shintani design along with some characters that are apart of the Freeza Force. And in Toriyama’s latest comments, he even said that the movie involves the Freeza force.

Freeza is definitely gonna be an ally. Its gonna be Goku, Vegeta, and Freeza vs Broly (unless its a bait and switch and Broly isn’t the true enemy.

Yeah. So you know what? Since i like a status quo chnage so much, i would like for Broly to turn into an ally and together with Goku and co, take down (the real threat of the movie if Broly isn’t the true threat). Just thinking about how we might get Goku and Freeza teaming up and Goku and Broly teaming up in the same year is wild.

I don't know about Frieza being an ally this time but I think there's a really strong chance that he's going to be the one who instigates this plot. And since we saw the Saiyan in the teaser wearing armor, it's possible Frieza somehow convinces Broly to work for him (if that is Broly).

Vegeta literally says he didn't care about the Saiyan people in the namek saga. He seems mildly perturbed by the fact that Frieza blew up planet Vegeta until right before his death.

Been a while since I've seen Battle of Gods in Japaness, but confusion might have stemmed from the use of the ending -くれる (kureru), which gets attached to verbs to indicate that something is done "for" the speaker, but it might not be the result of a direct request—just something that benefits them. There are also a few synonyms like もらう (morau), used in the same way.

And we know that Freeza is alive when the mvoie takes place and that “Broly” is where Freeza Force armor and that the Freeza Force has new characters for the movie and is gonna play a big role. SO OF COURSE FREEZA’S IN THE MOVIE. Its common sense.

Yeah, unfortunately the green is too iconic for them to change now.
I too always hated the green and whoever was in charge of the colors department in the first movie didn't have that as the only oddity. Broly with purple hair, SS Broly with blueish hair and at the end Goku also had a greenish tint to his hair.

But for who? Even on Broly last appearance on M11 he had gold hair, merchadising stuff who came up with this green hair out of nowhere

I think its safe to say that however Kale looked, Broly’s gonna share the same look.

Well, considering Bardock Special, Vegeta didn't seem much bottered after hearing from Nappa that his homeworld was destroyed, but later then he used that argument to motivate Goku in order to kill Freeza, so I don't know how he would react.

Vegeta was kinda weird between the Frieza and Cell sagas. He seemed to flip flop around, like Toriyama didn't know what to do with him. One minute he is just a bad ass who doesn't care about anything. The next, he's crying because Frieza took his father away from him when he was just a child. I mean in terms of his form. If Kale’s SSBerserk has green hair, Broly’s SSBerserk will have green hair. Basically any aesthetic qualily that makes Kale’s SSBerserk distinguishable, Broly’s SSBerserk will have the same qualities. Because thats how transformations work.

Ugh. The more I think about this movie, the more annoyed I am at the franchise’s insistence on pandering to nostalgia as much as possible. I just can’t help but think of the Red Letter Media skit at the beginning of their review of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Between RF and this movie, I’m really starting to appreciate BoG more than ever, since that movie actually went through the effort of taking the franchise in a new and interesting direction.
