I see it like this. Toei doesn't want the Japanese public importing 2 versions of their show for cheap,so that's why they made the Dragonboxes. Now they are almost done with the singles,so hopefully that means there will be no business related reason for Toei not to give Funimation the DB footage. But it is strange cause Toei is getting our money no matter how you view it.ect5150 wrote:Sure they do... $$$$$$$$$$$Raki wrote:To be honest,Funimation has no good reason to lie about this. I've always thought that Toei didn't give them the Dragonbox footage. Maybe Toei wil give them to them after the GT Singles are released.
And I highly doubt Toei is 'withholding' any footage that some $$$$$$$$$$$ couldn't clear up.
Both Toei and FUNImation are not really our buddies that want to provide the best possible DBZ experience for us. They want to provide the best DBZ experience to us that will make them the most money. The flow of information can change the expectations of consumers, which in turn can affect how they'll spend their money. It can be in FUNI's best interest to withhold information if it serves their purpose (as has been seen in the past).
So, I asked FUNi about a US Dragonbox release again...

Gokuden?
Maybe it's a different one? 'Cause this PrincessVegeta has 121 posts...unless that's posts per day or something like that and I don't know what I'm talking about.

Well, he didn't get the release dates right.

Trans rights, now!
He posted from a different PC. In example, he posted 5 times with PrincessVegeta and 1 time from Goku SS3 when he was at school. So he got the other 100+ posts when he was at home or something...SonEric84 wrote:SSJToreto wrote:PrincessVegeta wrote:If he owns bootlegs why is he so knowlagable about the Dragon Boxes in his message, that I can't understand @_@;

This remind me of another forum battle I once saw. I guy randomly sat beside Eddie VanHalen on an airplane. Of course he got photots and posted them on the forums. Another forum user kind of shouted "this is a fake and you are just claiming to be this random guy."SSJToreto wrote:He called me liar and claimed I didn't own actual dragon box videos.
Well I'm gonna prove him wrong I already started posting comparison pic's and later I'll post the artwork from dragon box singles just to prove him wrong.
Turns out the guy DID sit beside of him and proved it by taking another picture of himself holding a sign saying "forum_user_#5 can lick my balls" (can't remember the guy's forum name).
But you see my point, if anyone wants to prove they own the DBoxs, just photograph it and post it with a letter in the photograph with your name on it. Pretty simple.

Better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.
DB DBox color corrections & DBox color corrections.

He got it from Funimation's myspace: http://www.myspace.com/funimationTheGreatness25 wrote:HeyI was just curious, how is it that you contacted FUNimation? What is their Email? I'd like to ask them stuff about upcoming releases...as well as some of their present release decisions.

Is that like really their Myspace? lol I see a happy face under the "Mood", and I see Animes as their top friends, which makes me wonder which one of them sat there and made an account for an anime character. That plus it wouldn't be the first thing that got faked out at Myspace. If it is, great. But if it's not...umm...yeah.
With that being said, do they have an Email? lol

lol I'm just asking. I could create a FUNimation account too. It just seems like the Top Friends list is...weird. Anyway, I'll definitely take your word for it. So how'd you get info from them? Private Message or something?
I was told by someone that they got Kyle Herbert's sn and he told them that they were going to cancel their "Remastered" release and re-release the first two seasons. But that was before Season 3 even came out, so needless to say, I'd consider that as BS.

Nonsense. That shit sounds fake. Why would they cancel something that's making them senseless amounts of money right now?TheGreatness25 wrote:lol I'm just asking. Back on topic. If Toei loves money like i think they do,they would hand over the masters after the GT singles are done. But just to be safe, they should give Funimation strict guidelines on what they can and can't do the footage. That's the only way i know Funimation won't fuck it up.

Before that, other people were gong to them to get info on the Orange Bricks and it all turned out to be accurate.

Well they said that Kyle Herbert was very nice with fans, and gave them lots of info and whatnot. They said that "Kyle Herbert" told them that they would re-release the first two seasons because of some "dubbing mistakes" like the "9,000" instead of "8,000". lol I told him that "Kyle Herbert" was full of crap and it wasn't him, but nooo, nobody believes me. I wonder if they still think they're talking to the real Kyle Herbert.
Anyway, that's just an example of someone that's convinced that they're talking to the real person. Is this FUNimation Myspace real? Maybe. But how do you actually ask them things?

You could go to Funimation's forum and ask them.TheGreatness25 wrote:Well they said that Kyle Herbert was very nice with fans, and gave them lots of info and whatnot. If I go to their Forums, would I get answered by them, or by FUNimation's fans who stand by everything they say? For example, if I go there and ask them what they were thinking when releasing the brick version, for example, would I get ambushed? lol I want to know when they plan on releasing Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball GT "Remastered". And I want to ask if they're going to make it widescreen and "the way it was not meant to be seen" as well.
I'm a member of their forum(have been for going on 2 years). And anytime one of the new kids defends the widescreens, the DB section shuts them down. We are mostly Pro Dragon-Box over there.TheGreatness25 wrote:If I go to their Forums, would I get answered by them, or by FUNimation's fans who stand by everything they say? The reps look at the forums from time to time. I'm not sure if they respond to users. Looking around and see if they have an email address you can contact them with.TheGreatness25 wrote:But the whole point of me asking is because I want to ask people that actually have some stroke in the releases, not just fans. I have great enough conversations over here in that case.
