In any case could be the planet Broly was presumably sent to as a kid, so yeah not his birth planet, but likely qualifies as his homeplanet, if he's been there for most of his life.

Well, Toriyama never said he would create a whole new Broly, he just said he will rearrange some things.

Broly is a savage when Paragus finds him. And in the released concept art, Broly is also wearing the collar at that time too. Suggesting Broly has worn it his entire life.

In the next image of Broly in the armor, his skin seems a bit lighter in tone. As if he'd been cleaned up and given a bath for the first time ever. His outfit is new. All except for the pelt around his waist, which he may refuse to part with. After Paragus gains control over Broly, it's likely that he moved to the seat of Paragus' rule. One thing I want to express is I don't believe that Freeza is going to subjugate Paragus and Broly. At first I thought Freeza might use Paragus to control Broly, but there is something about the scenes shown in the trailer that just make me feel differently.

For instance; Broly exiting the ship and being flanked on both sides by Elite Guard. This is a Royal Entrance. Broly is being introduced as a figure of great importance. As if he were the Slave Prince of the Saiyans. Which also makes be believe that Paragus and King Vegeta may have been brothers after all, and that Broly was a threat to Vegeta's rule. Also, one of the things on the twitter posting from a translated bit by Toriyama, suggested that this movie would be a bit more like a Space Opera. What is more famous a Space Opera than Star Wars? And what does Star Wars have? The Imperial Guard, aka the Royal Guard.

Robed and masked figures in identical garb that serve directly under the Emperor. Toriyama has used this very same type of image in Super with the Omniking, Zeno. His Guards/Caretakers are all identical and flank him on both sides.

An almost identical scene was also present in Movie 8 when Paragus enters the throne room to plead with King Vegeta for Broly's life.

All this leads me to believe that Broly isn't just a soldier and that Paragus isn't Freeza's crony. People also must remember what happened in Revival of [F]. Sorbet's forces, who were the Freeza Faction, were fighting another faction of Soldiers who'd split off. That, I suspect, is the Paragus faction. Sorbet's forces were losing and they were forced to abandon the sector. That was when Sorbet decided to take the chance of going to Earth and using their dragon balls to revive Freeza, since their efforts to find the Namkeians hasn't born fruit.

We can easily see why Broly and Paragus wouldn't have reached Freeza's ears at the time after he was revived, since he was focused solely upon making himself stronger so he could get his revenge. But after the Tournament of Power, Freeza knew he needed to take his time and rebuild his armies in order to fulfill all of his desires. And this is when he finally confronts the issue of the divided Factions, leading to his confrontation with both Paragus and Broly.

If the movie is really taking place on Earth, then the planet (or just a part of it) looks kinda devastated. It reminds me of final battle on Namek. I wonder if their fight will destroy the Earth.

That planet's so pretty! I hope if they do go back to a weekly series that we get more scenery variety like this. There was a little bit of it in Super, but not enough imo.

Which doesn't mean much. Freeza could just be there to announce them, like a court attendant. Knowing that Freeza would never settle for such a role, it's more than likely that Freeza and Paragus came to some agreement. Such as Paragus becoming the Chancellor or Prime Minister. Freeza is still technically in charge, but Paragus has authority on par with Freeza, as a way of uniting both factions.

If I had to guess I'd say Freeza was working with them to take down Goku and Vegeta only for things to (clearly) not go according to plan and him having to instead rely on them to survive (assuming he does).

What do you think the text in the trailer is suggesting?

I'm referring to: 'The Saiyan warrior race.... What do you see... Beyond that strength?'

"The theme for this remarkable new film will be “Saiyan”, the strongest race in the universe. Since “Battle of the Gods”, Goku has undergone new forms from Super Saiyan God to Super Saiyan Blue to other evolved forms that have gone up against many invincible warriors from multiple universes. This new story will focus on the origin of the Saiyans’ strength and what it means to be Saiyan."

It sounds like they really are going in deep with this. Also the destiny talk of Goku, Vegeta and Broly. Needless to say I'm really excited for this film. It sounds ambitious and if the final film can deliver. This could be the best DB material ever, animation and technical wise it already looks to be so hopefully the narrative can back it up!

I don’t mean to milk my own theory but judging off of this, it really wouldn’t make sense if hey didn’t cover S-Cells in some way. And Yamoshi was both the first Super Saiyan and is literally the spirit of god ki.

Us and Canada in January. Which just means English Dubs. There has, as of yet, been no other announcement for localizations in other countries. This can be for any number of reasons. Such as copyright and distribution laws in different countries. More than likely they are focusing on North America first because this is where the largest Dragon Ball fan base is located outside of Japan. So it makes more sense for them to focus on the English version first to appeal to the largest possible audience. Then they can decide if the demand for it in other countries is worth the time and investment necessary to localize it elsewhere.

There's no comparison, if Toei were smart they would give this movie the same treatment to what was RoF:

Hence why the script for the original series was completely rewritten and made into more of a comedy to appease the broadcasting networks.

BoG and RoF both had fighting, but very little, if any, death. Aside from Freeza murdering his own goons in a flashy explosion. North America doesn't have that issue. Also, in comparison, this new movie is a whole different beast from the last two in terms of budget, production quality and length. If sources are to be believed, they've had to cut out a lot from this movie just to keep it feature length. I can only hope we get a directors uncut version with the Blu-Ray release.

Not sure what linking a few videos means about fanbase size.

The first video is the most viewed RoF trailer on YouTube, the second is a big crowd in public square reacting to the final episode of DBS in Amapá and the third is the most viewed Heroes episode 1 video. These are just small examples of how the Latin fan base is huge out there.

No, the only thing that I saw about it was a few deleted scenes, not sure not sure about other countries but Mexico and Brazil had excellent dubs faithful to the original script.

And BoG and RoF didn't had any deleted scenes when they released over there.

And since we know Broly backfires on Freeza, are Goku/Vegeta just going to allow Freeza to escape to space again instead of finishing him off? Freeza is still evil so I don't know why they're letting him roam the universe again.
