Kale's Super Saiyan forms

I believe the progression the authors are going for this time are gold to green.

In original Broly, his green hair was clearly a residual effect of the mind control crown, which faded as the movie neared its end. But all the merchandise and games played up the green color, completely misunderstanding what the movie portrayed. So in case of Kale and the new Broly, it appears they went with a much simpler approach:

- dull golden "regular" SSj - this is what was called the C-type SSj form for Broly back in the day, it's their equivalent of the regular SSj form. In Broly the movie the hair is completely golden, just like it was in Second Coming, but this form is meant to correspond to Kale's dull golden SSj
- Same, but with green hair - that's Kale's next level, stronger than the berserk fom, less ridiculously buff too. Not sure if Broly is going to have that, and how they'll tie him in with Kale. DB Wiki calls it SSj2 after some card in some obscure game or something, them being them and all.
- The berserker form

This is the approach I took for Kale and Kefla's forms:



Super Saiyan Berserker is the LSS form that Kale has.
Super Saiyan Berserker Suppressed is the Super Saiyan - Legendary Variant spoken of.
Super Saiyan Berserker Full Power is Kale's final form that we have seen just before she fuses into Kefla; additionally, this form is what Kefla takes on when she becomes an SS1.
Super Saiyan Berserker 2 is the form Kefla takes on when she transforms into SS2 against UIO Goku.


I think Broly will have two of these four forms: 1) Super Saiyan Berserker Suppressed, which will be his yellow-haired form from the promo poster; 2) Super Saiyan Berserker, which will be the LSS.

How does this sound for a theory?

Currently, Dokkan is the ONLY source of Kale's Super Saiyan 2 denomination, as that form doesn't appear anywhere else. So we have no reason to doubt it.

What I'm saying is that the Dokkan card most likely refers to her "normal" yellow-haired form. Look closely at the image: Kale's hair is more gold than green, same as her state from earlier in the tournament when she first controlled her berserk state. She also has the raised left bang that's completely down when she controls her power fully later on.

Pretty sure people misinterpreted that card to refer to her final controlled form, although that's not suggested by the artwork.

It's suggested by the Super Attack Animation, though.
It's a attack she uses as Fully Controlled.
Also, green hair and aura, while the base Super Saiyan in the anime had yellow hair and aura.

So, yeah, Full Control Kale is officially Super Saiyan 2.

Fair enough, you're probably right. It's still confusing as all hell that the in-game sprite doesn't match the artwork for that card, but whatever.

If we were to combine the names from the production art book with Dokkan Battle, seems like Kale's official form names would be the following:

超サイヤ人(暴走) = Super Saiyan (Out of Control)
超サイヤ人 = Super Saiyan
超サイヤ人2 = Super Saiyan 2

The berserk version's title is a bit inconsistent at times, but that should be the gist of it.

Heroes, too, uses only 暴走 to refer to Kale's berserker form, without calling it a Super Saiyan.
I think Super Saiyan(Berserk) was the name they were using while working on the anime, but then then "somebody" decided to make it just Berserk for the other media.

Also note the artbook doesn't show the SS2 forms of the U6 girls
