Do you think they will explain why Broly is the LSSJ and/or so unique in this movie?

Discussion specifically regarding the "Dragon Ball Super" TV series premiering July 2015 in Japan, including individual threads for each episode.

But if that does happen, does the name Legendary Super Saiyan really work for an altered Broly? To me legendary means someone who possesses an unbelievable level of power all on their own that they're considered a legend. Broly being genetically experimented on doesn't sound as legendary to me.
It could also be both. He is a legendary ssj like Kale in U6, but because he's genetically pimped he's able to achieve unimaginary hights.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. It's just to me, genetically modified doesn't equate to a legend. Like in sports, the legends are the ones who had natural skills and talent. The ones who used PEDs and steroids are not considered legends.

LSSG or Berserk is only the name of the green transformation Kale also had.
It doesn't give any form of explaination why someone is probably stronger than SSG in his pimped baseform.

If Broly is that strong he probably won't have the opportunity test his strength against opponents Goku and Vegeta fought against (Beerus, Merged Zamasu ...).
As a matter in fact he is restrained by Paragus. So he can't explore his full power as a Saiyan.
But let's assume for a moment he does reach UI-levels with that once he breaks though the restraining device.
I think it's normal we pose ourselves the question 'how did he became so insanely strong?'
Even more so when you consider U7 Saiyans generally aren't that strong from birth.
The U6 Saiyans seem to be able to become a lot stronger with less training than the U7 Saiyans.

In that case i hope we get some explaination why Broly is so powerful or why he keeps on getting stronger during a fight.
The genetic engineering is only one possible pathway of explaining things. It doesn't need to be that.
I just hope it exceeds 'Broly is destined to become that powerful from birth ...' in originality.

To me Broly being genetically modified is a terrible idea as it would kinda make Broly’s power a cheat at best...it’s not his own strength and would make it seem as if he’d be weak without being modified which to me takes away from the whole idea of him being what a “true saiyan” is and that saiyans have no limits...

The fact some Saiyans can reach that levels of power is only the result. The reason why it is how it is, and that's an explaination Toriyama will give, is something different than the fact they have no limits as such.
The reason and result are different aspects but they have to fit together. It would be be an appropiate and exceptable explaination if it has something to do, genetically, with the evolution, mutation, development of their s-cells.
Broly and maybe Goku and Vegeta might be the descendants of the same ancestors or have a simular mutation. Broly could be very powerful from birth and/or further enhanced later on.

I like this theory because it actually tries to explain something. That would be an indicator they don't only want to improve DBS on the art- and animation-department, but storywise too.
The effort they are willing to take to actually explain things makes the world of DB more realist, which creates deepers involvement from fans.
The last movie ROF, i don't consider this the best DB-story ever written. It was basically only about Freeza returning and the rest was fighting.
Regardless of the fact you like this theory or not, it's promising they are giving us a multilayerd story this time that makes the puzzle fit at the end within a greater scheme, they do the effort to actually explain things, in order to enhance the story. At least, the trailer and Toriyama's statement indicates they are working in that direction.

Whether we like it or not, it'll be the explaination Toriyama gives us that counts. I'm willing to accept it, as long as the story is well written.

I completely understand and respect your points and your opinion lol I would just be fine with them saying he was born with his enormous power due to him being the descendant of a powerful saiyan or they use the lore of the original ssj and maybe the type of saiyan that he is relates to that of the evil saiyans that fought Yamoshi. I guess I feel that his power just being natural is more authentic and they could explain it by using the back story of the older saiyans. Him naturally being a mutant appeals to me more than him being an experiment of sorts because well...he’s an almighty saiyan he shouldn’t need to be experimented on to be so strong and we have to remind ourselves that he is Broly but a brand new one. You can have an interesting story without all of the scientific experimental stuff and besides the scene in the trailer shows the baby saiyans in incubators only slightly different from the ones in dragon ball minus. I don’t believe they’re test tubes at all lol

I agree, him being a descendant of powerful ancient (evil) Saiyans (what you are suggesting) could give an intresting plot as well.
He doesn't necessarily have to be a mutant.
