Same thing happened in US and UK too. I personally don't want Broly to be stronger than Jiren. In most movies, it makes sense that the big-bad is the biggest threat Goku and co. have faced thus far. But with the movie actually being part of the main storyline, it feels off to have someone pose such a threat that they would rival the strength of Jiren. I guess to play my own devils advocate, Jiren was holding back in a sense vs everyone so he didn't kill people. So maybe in a life or death fight, Jiren would be even more savage, to where he's the real life One punch man.
So I guess two questions really? How would you feel with Jiren being in the movie, maybe even saving Goku and Vegeta, and do you think Broly will be stronger than Jiren?
According to Geekdom 101's sources, this movie will play a major role in determining Super's anime return so it's no wonder they want it to be as big as possible and if the first 3 days of ticket sales are anything to go by then it'll by far surpass anything RF did.
