I agree I am so glad Vegeta isn't treated like this in the series and I doubt that would change even if Toriyama leaves, Toei too seem to like Vegeta a lot. They need Vegeta for that rival status to Goku.

But they've even stopped merching Freeza... 2015 was all him with his revival and now they're not even bothering. It's crazy!

Grandista UI Goku best seller in it's category on AmazonJP and has rose up in price to just below 3000yen. Insane. Banpresto don't get any of the after sales but shows you how popular the form is!

Well, I hope some brand releases SSG Vegeta at least since he will appear in the movie. I sure want SSG Vegeta in my collection.

WCFs are the most likely line too, but given SSG Goku in general has been shafted pretty hard I am not too sure even about that.

Bandai's November gashapons will drop sometime this week (ie between now and next Saturday) and hopefully week after we should get Ichiban Kuji and WCF reveals, hopefully with catalogue scans right around the corner after that. Will be important to help decipher clues!

Yeah. Everywhere but Japan will have that colouring.

Japan's one has already gone up in price... In a few months it'll probably be fairly rare.

Yeah I feel like the Super Grandistas have been really popular and start to become rare short after release. (Thankfully I managed to get both before selling out) Other than GameStop (which is getting their shipment till August) all the places I’ve seen selling the UI one are sold out and the Grandista Rose is long gone, but they are doing a Manga Dimensions for it which is good. And GameStop only has it for $25 which is a steal but it doesn’t ship till December.

DBS brand is literal fire why! We're finally get merch roll for the movie similar to the OP films after how pathetic BoG/RF were. Just hope they didn't overwork Nakazawa too much, hopefully Hiroki is doing the IBK.

Not yet, it's supposed to be out September so reservations should have opened up by now. Might mean it's delayed then... /: Not likely I would pick it up anyway unless it really does look great.

Ichiban Kuji in December will release 2 "Super Saiyan Broly Full Power" figures with different colourings.

As for regular prize figures I'm sure we'll get a whole WCF dedicated to Broly, and I'm assuming the Ultimate Soldiers line will continue with SS Broly and then Broly Full Power along with more Goku's (either with UI if it's in the film or even more battle damaged SSGSS) or fusions or what have you.

If they were hiding something Goku related they'd call it an untitled/secret Goku figure. Keep in mind they may not be releasing an UI Goku until after the movie comes out so he could still be in, just not in that particular set.

Another Ichiban Kuji won't get released for the movie. So it would make sense to pair UI Goku up with Full Power Broly if UI Goku was in the film. Ichiban Kuji is the highest tier of Banpresto figures and so no way UI wouldn't be part of the set if it were in the movie.

Anyway here's what the March IBK labelled UI Goku as:


New form Son Goku (provisional). If they wanted to hide UI for the movie they could have just labelled it as Son Goku figure (provisional). And the mystery characters specifically say "new (新) character"

Of course, it doesn't flat out confirm no UI Goku but right now looking increasingly unlikely.

Next week we get catalogues for December figures and the WCFs which haven't been revealed. Mid September we'll get January catalogues and labels as well as Feb solicits, and the the next prize fair will also take place in mid September. So we will definitely have our answer by then.

Another Ichiban Kuji won't get released for the movie. Ichiban Kuji is the highest tier of Banpresto figures and so no way UI wouldn't be part of the set if it were in the movie.

In that case Gogeta may be the more likely case. He'd be new to the "canon" so that would qualify as a "new" character.
