Why people are so obsessed with Gogeta? I mean there's no reason for him to show up other than fanservice, Potara is no longer eternal, is a more effective fusion and Vegeta hates doing the dancing moves.

Fanservice is more or less what the series is built on at this point, hence why Broly is the villain of this movie.

That and the fact they're hiding 2 new main figures under "new" characters which Gogeta could be among, especially with Vegeta and Freeza not being a part of the line so whoever these 2 are have to be more important.

They're trying to build more room for Goku to improve. Just being able to use UI at will is a new end goal for him, and that's not to speak of what they can do with him or anyone else once that happens. UI itself is actually rectifying the problem of "s-cells" and saiyan-exclusive transformations in that anyone can technically achieve it.
We can very clearly see Goku going shirtless in the trailer for this movie. This proves that UI is far more likely than anything else! Also, Vegeta doesn’t seem to be anywhere in sight near the end of this movie!

Him using when ever he wants takes away the drama and tension, you know the things people like to see in a movie etc.
Goku also said to not use kaioken, we al know he used it.

Things looked hopelessly dire in the trailer. Broly's still powering up and Goku's actually visibly trembling with fear in Blue with seemingly no one around to help him because they've all presumably had the shit kicked out of them. Even then, you can tell the fight goes on for a bit longer than that because Goku's shirt is missing in the next scene as it shows Broly powering up EVEN FURTHER. Is such a scenario not satisfying for seeing Goku tap into UI again? Do things need to get even worse?
Broly's confirmed to be the most powerful fighter they've faced so far in the series, eclipsing Jiren and the Gods of Destruction in terms of might. Goku pretty much needs UI to even stand a chance.
Saying Goku cant or shouldn't whip the form out in every dire situation is rather shortsighted, especially when you consider the series' track record. Super Saiyan was the exact same way, unusable at will aside from cases where Goku got extremely angry, but that didn't stop the Cooler movie from having Goku transform into it to fight him as a means to save the day.
I hope Cheelai doesn't get killed

Yeah, that Broly we see at the end of the trailer is still in his Super Saiyan form. He's beating Goku's ass and he hasn't even gone Super Saiyan Full Power yet.
A theory popped into my mind just now. AnimeNation101 theorised that Paragus is a scientist that experimented on Broly by injecting S-Cells into him to create the most powerful Saiyan warrior. In the trailer we see several Saiyan babies covered in some kind of tech while floating in their incubators. They might be Saiyans that are getting their S-Cells extracted for Paragus's experiment. These would be low power level babies that didn't reach the Saiyans' standards, so they were given to Paragus for his experiment.
Now, Toriyama said that one of the themes for this film is the paths of destiny that lead to an encounter between Broly, Vegeta and Goku. When it comes to Vegeta, I think they'll reuse the whole wanting Vegeta dead because he's the son of King Vegeta who tried to kill and remove Paragus and Broly. But what was Goku's path of destiny towards Broly?
My theory is that Goku was originally supposed to be one of the Saiyan babies that would have their S-Cells extracted and given to Broly. Bardock finds out about this and decides to send Goku away before Paragus can do anything about it. Thus, there's this past conflict with Bardock, King Vegeta and Paragus which leads to the present where this conflict continues with Broly, Vegeta and Goku. This would mean retconning DB Minus, where Bardock sent Goku away because he had a bad feeling about what might happen to Planet Vegeta.

OMG. Shirtless Goku equals UI confirmed!!! No. Thats the most stupid evidence I’ve heard for the case for UI in the movie to this day. And thats the other thing. How do you know that scene is even at the end of the movie? There’s more suggesting that it isn’t the end because Broly is just transforming into his final form during that scene.

No it wouldn’t. Judging from what we’ve seen, Shin isn’t there throughout the whole fight, let alone all the scenes. If he was so important, we would have gotten Shintani’s designs for him along with Beerus and Whis. So they probably won’t have the potara with them. Gogeta is the only way.
