New Goku figure from Medicom

Post by Peabo » Tue Jan 08, 2008 10:51 am

I did a search for 'Medicom' and didn't find anything so I hope this isn't old news.

There is a lovely new Goku figure from popular Japanese toy manufacturer, Medicom coming out this year. He is fully poseable:

He is 30cm tall and will sell for 15540 Yen or about $140

Just posted that in the 14 inch Goku figure thread.

It does look really nice, but I don't know if I could justify the price.

Maybe because his clothes are made of fabric and he is so poseable? Check out the other pics of him on medicom's site, it looks like he has several different sets of detachable hands for different poses such as the genki dama etc.

I know how detailed he is, just like every other Medicom figure. I've wanted their Kamen Rider Kabuto figure for some time. Just don't think I can justify spending that kind of money on a figure. :?

I am beyond excited for this figure! There hasn't been a Goku quite of this quality in a long long time, so for the serious Dragonball toy collector, this is really quite a treat!

All the best,
Oldphan

Cool...too bad I'm too poor to pay that much for a figure.

That figure looks incredible, no wonder it's so expensive.

That figure takes my freakin' breath away! I looove the classic Kamehameha and fighting stance poses he's in... :P
Next quest: Buy the Super: Broly and Super Hero Blurays, also Daima whenever that releases in the states. Also the Super Manga!

Fan of Dragon Ball Z and various other Anime since '98! ^^

That is NICE.

Not nice enough for me to blow a thousand+ on it though. ^_^;;;

For over $1000 he should be able to walk around, interact with you and be able to perform some kind of attack. >_>

EDIT: Ah crap; curse my horrible math skills. That ToyLogic says he's $149.99 or something.

Um, in that case he should still be able to do more than simply stand there for that price.
On hiatus.

Well I couldn't help myself, and I pre-ordered it.

He just looks too amazing.

I have to say, he's the most realistic-looking Goku figure I've ever seen.

Nobody EVER includes those stray hairs.

That is quite the figure.

Wow, that's pretty detailed. Also check out all the creases in his clothes. They're practically identical to how they look like in the series. That'd be a bit of a downer if they didn't stay that perfect.
For [about $150] he should be able to walk around, interact with you and be able to perform some kind of attack. >_>
Don't forget bullet proof and containing a cure to all known diseases!

That's because it's actually cloth.

That is a very realistic Goku figure.... Way too expensive, though... Damn my poverty!

This is the toy I've been waiting for all my life... I don't give a damn that I'm about to turn 23! I'll gladly drop that cash on this figure!

Don't worry, I don't like the face either. But otherwise this figure looks amazingly good, but sometimes prototypes look awesome and then the store bought version sucks. (Resident Evil Directors Cut figures (the game not the movie) anyone?).

If they made a Ultra SSJ Vegeta or Majin Vegeta figure like this, I would have already pre-ordered it.
