Which Japanese Guidebooks to Buy

Post by EZsensei » Sat Sep 01, 2018 3:30 pm

I think the Daizenshuu contain the most complete guide this series can basically get. When I found out about them I was blown away by just how in depth they get into the entire series covering the most important lore and story elements and other fun topics. The books are easy to follow, have awesome flashy visual aids throughout the books with clear titles, division for each part. It's such an awesome addendum to the series. also since I don't care much for Super (Battle of Gods on wards).

Since sadly only the first Daizenshuu has been translated into English and I can't read Japanese I've realized I can't get them all as that wouldn't help me much. However, I would like to get guidebooks in Japanese if they can be largely understood by the pictures/charts in them even without being able to read Japanese.

[TL;DR) I've got the first Daizenshuu in English already and have now decided to get the 4th one too (in Japanese). Does anybody have recommendations of guide books I could enjoy even without knowing Japanese? Art books like the first Daizenshuu count! :o

BTW- can somebody tell me from where/how to order Japanese books new online? (To Europe if it matters)

Your suggestions will help me greatly!!
Thanks,

The Chozenshu are the most recent release and they contain everything that's present in the Daizenshuu plus material they missed in the Daizenshuu and the newer material up till the battle of gods movie.

July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

If you enjoyed the art book, the Chōgashū (“Super Art Collection”) would be another excellent choice. I've been wanting it for a while after getting the first Daizenshuu in English last year.
