No, he can just hold his breath for a REEEEEAAAAAALLLLY long time. No matter how much of a blue-tighted plot device you are, you can't breathe if there's nothing TO breathe.

There's one on dA, if that's what you're talking about. But it's lame and WAY Super-biased. Goku doesn't even use SSj1.

Which era are you referring to? I was referring to modern as that's when Goku was around as well as you see he can't then.

That "official" battle kind of sucks. The fight was cool, but Goku "sensing" the Dragonballs as well as not making his presence and business known to Superman before engaging in a fight made no sense.

Yeah, I didn't really know much about it.
Now that I've read it, though, I think I'll make a comic based on it...but I can't really draw Superman.

I always love these threads. They always talk about how Superman would suffocate Goku in space, or how Goku would vaporize Superman with a Kamehameha, but they never touch upon one problem in the situation.

Superman is the last of a race, who are superior to regular humans. Sent down from a far away place. But he has no selfishness and no selflessness. All he lives for, all he breathes for is to help those who cannot help themselves. He is the savior. Superman is the comic book modern day version of Jesus, wrapped up in a nice red and blue package. Jesus had his conflict with Satan, Superman has his conflicts from time to time with his internal devil, which tells him to become selfish and take what he wants. But of course, just like Jesus walked away from Satan, Superman never strays down the path of selfishness, he never gives in to his internal demons.

Now, Goku is basically the same deal. How many stories are JUST like that? Where there is someone unique, sent from somewhere else to help those who can't help themselves. It's everywhere. Every epic story seems to be like that. So it's not the first time, it's not the last time, and it's very, VERY common.

There is just something that attracts people to the idea of a single person sent from somewhere else, put here with no ego, with no selfishness, to protect those who cannot protect themselves.

Do not forget that the Save The Baby origin has been done since the time of Moses, such as in his tale of escape from death as a baby floating down the Nile river. There is really nothing new under the sun, only the unfamiliar and unexperienced.

Also, one's head typically explodes in space without protection. As to why? It's a big vacuum. Not only would Superman (and Freeza and his family, for that matter) have to be able to deal with the lack of air to breathe, their bodies would also have to be able to deal with the lack of pressure in the outside environment.

Of course, these are super-powered aliens we're talking about, so I suppose that issue doesn't really apply. <_< Yay moot points!

I've got nothing more to add to this discussion. However, I will attempt to kill it if it turns into another versus debate like in the last thread. Just saying. >_>
