Jump Super Stars Featured In Nintendo Power.

Post by Tanooki Kuribo » Fri Jan 18, 2008 8:39 pm

There was a feature in the Feburary issue of Nintendo Power showing off some games that never made it to the USA. Jump Super Stars and Jump Ultimate Stars were among those games. Get ready to squint those eyes of yours...

Yea, I heard about this. Cool. Did they do Ouendan by any chance? Or Eyeshield 21 (hey, it was an awesome game)?

Nice to see Nintendo Power stretching a little to cover some news on our favorite imports.

Yea they did Ouendan but not Eyeshield 21. The other games were Densetsu No Stafy 4, Tingle's Balloon Fight, Freshly Picked Tingle's Rosey Rupeeland, Mother 3, Rhythm Tengoku, Zekkyo Senshi Sakeburein and Game And Watch Collection.

Jump Super Stars was also mentioned in the latest EGM issue as well expect it's on a list of the top 5 Worst Smash Bros. rip offs. I imported Ultimate Stars back in 2006 and I still continuously play it. I just wish the game didn't lag so much during online play but it probably has to do with my crappy computer.

It's a shame Ultimate Stars never made it to the same Best Buy I got Super Stars at; I really enjoyed Super Stars.
On hiatus.

I doubt any of the Jump games'll ever be translated for the states. some of the series they use in the games are a little too obscure for the US.

I'm still crossing my fingers for the Katekyo Hitman Reborn! anime, but I don't think the idea of a child shooting himself in the head to gain powers will go to well over here.(I know the manga is here, but those aren't as well known as the anime)
