In DBZ episode #103, Bulma does a little fortune-telling ceremony to tell whether Son Goku will return from Namek safely or not. She arranges three leaves in a circle and lights them on fire. If the leaves all burn up, he will return. If not... he will not. Unfortunately for her, the wind blows the leaves away before they can burn.
Is this ceremony something made up for Dragon Ball or was it based on some Japanese (or other) cultural practice? Is there a name for the ceremony?
