That could also be darn, crap, something else for people who don't like coarse language :O

I wonder how AnimeLabs would translate that...

...I'd get banned if I repeated it here probablyI'm obviously over-reacting a little bit.
Well, if you'd like, I could translate it as "crud" instead. :P

If you happen to remember what they made Vegeta say in Movie 13, then it should be something similar as long as it can fit in the word bubble.

I remeber watching the Funi subs for the first time, and realizing how completely off their sentence was.

Does that include the season set dub? I could've sworn that I've heard that in English before.

Maybe I read it in the Viz manga or something.
As far as I remember it was left out of the season set dub. I remember watching it in English with my nephew then later on watching it in Japanese and thinking "that's cool to know."

Wow. I'm waiting on an order from RightStuf. I gotta go pick it up from the post office either Thursday or Friday. If I pick it up Thursday I think the Viz DBZ manga volume where that should be said will be in the order. I'll check and see if maybe I saw it there.

Also, if I can dig them out, I might be able to see if anything about that was said in the original Ocean dub. That, or I can just wait for the episode to come out on Toonami Jetstream (it should be soon) and I'll see if anyone still cares.

Well the early "Yamcha the manwhore thing'"s what;s pisses me off.

How he asked Chichi and Bulma out when they were fighting over Goku and Vegeta at the Budokai, and again when when Chichi wanted Vegeta.

Luckilly they are trying to fix it now and he wasn't that way in DB, not to mention he had no lines in GT. and hence FUNImation had no Manwhore speeches to give to him and gave them to a more worthy character, Mr Satan.

Towards the end of DBZ, I think on the Celebration with BUU episode, ChiChi asks Bulma about trading their husbands....ummm..does that happen in the Japanese version?

I seem to remember back in the Android saga that Funimation changed some of the details about Vegeta's entrence into the fight between Goku and Android 19. In the Japanese version Piccolo allowed himself to be hit by Android 20 so that he could lie in weight until the Androids where distracted and then rush to help Goku. So he was a little annoyed when Vegeta kicked Android 19 in the face and ruined his whole plan.

However, in the Funi version Piccolo says how he would not have been hit at all if Vegeta had not gotten in the way, that he was blocked by him. This makes it sound like he was about to rush past Android 20, was blocked by Vegeta and then hit by Android 20's eye beam. Kinda takes the shine off Piccolo's clever plan to rescue Goku.

I think that was the jist of it. It made sense when i first saw the episode in English years ago. That Vegeta would be so aragant that he wanted to save Goku so blocked Piccolo's attempt. However, when i finally saw the subtitled version it was all different. Just shows how a little change in dialogue can change the meaning of the whole scene.

You just reminded me of another random change in that scene: Vegeta's explaination of how he became a super saiyan. If my memory serves me right, in the dub he never mentioned anything about the whole "Purely evil heart, pent up rage, blah blah blah..."-thing, and simply said that he was tired of failing, and was about to give up, then suddenly transformed. Right... Vegeta giving up... That totally sounds like something he would do...

Yeah. He said something along the lines of how he "just didn't care anymore" and transformed that way... as opposed to being so angry at Son Goku that he transformed.

I think the most comical dialoug change comes from the Freeza vs Goku fight. After Goku bursts up from the water and hits Freeza with the Kaioken x20 Kamehameha, and Freeza emerges from the cloud of dust, Goku's face is shown looking very intense as he says "Damn it all, no damage." Or something like that.

Funi changed it so that Goku says "You're mine, Freeza." in a smug voice. That change was just absurd and hillarious.
