Every time new info is released for this game, it looks more and more like a re-make of the original Budokai series for Next-Gen systems. It has, like the original Budokai:

- Characters that only go to the Cell saga

- Super Saiyan is the highest level of Power

- No characters past the Cell arc

- Even the cut scenes look like they were made to look like the original Budokai ones.
Next quest: Buy the Super: Broly and Super Hero Blurays, also Daima whenever that releases in the states. Also the Super Manga!

Fan of Dragon Ball Z and various other Anime since '98! ^^

What new info? Have they actually come out and said it only goes up to Cell?

Surely if it was a "remake" as you put it, of Budokai 1, wouldn't Super Saiya-jin 2 would be the highest level of power?

What do you know? It's another scan from the Cell Saga.

I really hope that they're just "hiding" the Buu Saga for all eternity until the release.

Haha!, if they are doing that, they're going to fall flat on their faces after how many characters the Sparking! series gave us, and the anticipation over them.

The game looks nice but... WTF is up with all the shininess? Seriously, the graphics look great until someone's got a bright light near them. Then all the nice cel-shading is washed out and they look like they're made of porcelain or plastic. :?

As for the comments people made about Vegeta's arm going through his armor... uh, duh? Stuff like that has always happened in 3D games because programing it to do otherwise would take too much work for them to bother. The only time you'll see stuff like that not happening are in pre-rendered FMVs where large amounts of time were spent to make it look as good as possible.

That's just what I thought since they're not showing us anything that gives us evidence that it's going to go past the Cell arc.

I really hope that they include the whole series, there's no reason not to. Unless they plan on going through the earlier sagas in much greater detail...
There is no better combination in the world than Dragonball, Cherry Pepsi, and Cheez-Its. It's a proven fact.

Cell looks weird in that scan to me. :?

Should we hold our breaths for any 2-D, animated opening sequence ala Budoukai 2 and 3?

I miss the animated openings so much.
On hiatus.

This could be really awesome, but they'd have to do the most amazing job ever with it.
... Not that it matters, since I'm not getting either of the systems it plays on.

New videos:

To see Tien vs Tien, click "video options" on the player and then click the 2nd video shown
I'm lovin' the cloud stage!

And I just realized something: The menu screen at 0:08, confirms that there is no Buu saga!

Oh my god. This game looks great, I love the bits in the video when it cut to a mini cut scene.
I finally bought a gamecube. To bad they don't make any games for it now.

But the kamehameha and Spirit Bomb look terrible.

The kamehameha doesn't look that bad, but i agree with comment you made about the spirit bomb. I didn't look like one of the most powerful moves.

A quick glance at the preparation screen, looks like the drama pieces act as equipments. And looks like they took the Super DBZ route and did away with ki charging. The best moment out of these videos, for me, is looking at Tenshinhan's agonizing face while being blasted by his own technique. (Kikoho, was it?)

If this game is anything like Shin Budokai 2, (which it seems to be..) the Kamehameha and Spirit Bomb should be chargeable. Perhaps the people playing in those video didn't know that.

That's most likely true, but isn't wasn't that only a demo game at Jump Festa?
