Maeda is my favorite, but Shintani easily trumps Yamamuro. The latter's stuff just looks gross.

Old Yamamuro during Z over Shintani for sure. Current Yamamuro is way behind Shintani though.

This isn't even a comparison. I think the current Shintani-helmed visuals may be the best Dragon Ball has ever looked in terms of the aesthetics for its animation.

Though I do like '90s Yamamuro and Nakatsuro, and have nothing bad to say about their Boo arc and GT work, on the opposite side of the complicated/simple design spectrum.
