Understood VegEX.
You know, I gotta wonder, if the younger appearance on Freeza really is intentional, you think maybe Cold put Beriblu and Kikono in charge as like, babysitters or advisers or something? I feel like it'd be a very Toriyama thing to write an all-powerful god prince who can blow up planets with his two helpless caretakers who just have to awkwardly excuse his rampant destruction.
It would also explain that bit about Beriblu not taking any of Freeza's shit but him not just murdering her, he childishly still views her as somehow authoritative or parental even though they've never had any power over him.
The only thing Freeza's said about his relationship with his father is that he punches about as hard as Goku, so it's perfectly plausible. Never exactly felt like the two were all that close, even if that's just because Toriyama didn't think of him having a dad until later on.

Probably a few other Latin American countries, some other European ones I think?Bullza wrote:What countries has been confirmed for then?
Japan, America, UK....where else?
I dunno, it's hard to keep up with this kind of news.
Re: Official On-Going Dragon Ball Super Movie Thread: "Broly"
Pretty much all of Latin America, Australia, most of East Asia, for Europe only UK, Spain and Ukraine as far as i know (Toei Europe really is useless) and thats about it i think.PerhapsTheOtherOne wrote:Probably a few other Latin American countries, some other European ones I think?Bullza wrote:What countries has been confirmed for then?

Personally, I doubt this will be just a retcon of his design. We already got First Form Frieza in Resurrection of F, and in Super. If they were going to pointlessly redesign Frieza, it would have been then.BlueBasilisk wrote:The more I think about it the more I feel that pinky boy Frieza is just going to be a fresh new design for his first form in general. He looks like the only Minus-era character to get a revised design with the armor and arm stripes being dropped. Frieza is obviously a few decades younger here but I'm not sure that has anything to do with the design changes since Cold also got a few changes from his traditional look. Now Frieza looks just like him, only tiny and pink (and smaller horns).Lukmendes wrote: Both that one panel from the original manga and Minus as a whole show Freeza looking the same way as he looks now, and while I'm not gonna say he's ageless, he could just age much better than humans, kinda like saiyans stay on their prime until around 80 years, so Freeza looking the same from the Minus era and now isn't far fetched, and it's a weird retcon to suddenly decide that Freeza needs to look younger in that era when, again, Minus didn't do so.

So is there any doubt that we will get the entire movie spoiled on the 14th? Or will they somehow keep that info from the preview screening under wraps?

He looks even smaller, his face looks more youthful.Neo-Makaiōshin wrote:Outside of aesthetic changes (like pink colored skin) how exactly does Freeza look younger in the Minus part of the movie?
That makes sense, but as pointed out before, it's be odd to make a change from his first form now of all times, considering that in RoF he looked the same, then again, might be Toriyama deciding to change it on a whim and Toei rolling with it.BlueBasilisk wrote:The more I think about it the more I feel that pinky boy Frieza is just going to be a fresh new design for his first form in general. They wouldn't retcon Freeza's first form design after like 30 years. Him being younger must be the explanatiion, and I don't see why some of you suddenly think it's a change just for the sake of it.
Didn't they mention Freeza being a kid in a magazine anyway?

Re: Official On-Going Dragon Ball Super Movie Thread: "Broly"
I remember when Freeza was assumed to be centuries old by much of the fandom back in the day. I guess that's where some of the complaints about 1st form Freeza's redesign are coming from.
Re: Official On-Going Dragon Ball Super Movie Thread: "Broly"
They'll probably say he's young but it doesn't change the fact he looks wrong given his previous appearance as shown in older manga material.Xeogran wrote:They wouldn't retcon Freeza's first form design after like 30 years. When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

I don't know if this was something Toriyama ever confirmed to be canon, but in the Xenoverse games, it's said that Frieza race characters can control the appearance of their bioarmor. In the game, this is their justification for Frieza race characters being able to change shapes and colors like they're changing clothes. If this is canon, then it could be that this pink Frieza simply hadn't finalized the appearance of his First Form at the time of the flashback.

Those fanarts are so crappy I thought it was the real thing.

DBS anime is a fan service series that delivers irrelevant dialogue, inconsistent writing, and lazy designs.
The DB manga never had so many mistakes, nor those were this constant.

Dragon Ball was always a kid series and fans should stop being in denial.
