Future Trunks and his flashbacks

Post by Sun_Wukong » Sun Feb 03, 2008 12:48 pm

When did the episode originally air when Trunks is racing down a path and sees all the people suffering?

I'm asking this because its identical to a scene in the first Terminator with Kyle Reese.

Though then again, the air date shouldnt matter since Terminator came out in 1984.

The scene mentioned is at 4:53

Here's the DBZ version

Was this scene in the manga or did Toei add it in?

Nah, the only flashback in the Manga is "Trunks: The Story" which was turned into the TV Special.

Yup, tis' filler.

So Toei must love James Cameron

Ah, I know what scene you're talking about. Yeah, it was filler, but it was good filler. Though the emotional impact of the scene was ruined in the dub, the original had the song "Mind Power Ki" playing in the background, and that coupled with the image of Trunks looking on at the devastation and suffering of the people made it into an extraordinary sequence.
