Ginyu is said to deliberately train himself; it would make LESS sense that he wouldn't refine his abilities more. Everyone else in the series constantly improves their techniques.

Also Dragon Ball was never a gore fest like these lastest few pages, I mean Piccolo crushing #17 skull like he was a robot or something? He's a artificial human for F*CK's sake so it should have more flesh, blood than that. But the scene was pointless anyway. Toriyama would just have Piccolo blowing him up with a energy blast.

The whole Ginyu changing stuff was cool though again it doesnt seems like something from DB.

This is silly but people are way overstating how “bad” this is.

Personally I'm OK with AU ginyu having trained but the body swap beam seems like an impossible one to change. Of he swaps putta colds body with a henchman, huge risk coldbody just blitzes him or something goes wrong.

While his personality is a little darker, it's not a big change.

I think a lot of people badly misread Ginyu's character. He's whole warrior honour schtick is all ego. As we see in the series itself, the second he's no longer in control it falls away and his real self is revealed. A cold blooded mercenary who kills people for money and a coward at heart. Ginyu is not a strong person, he a weakling who has stolen the strength and lives of others, thats who he really is. You'd find more genuine honour in a block of stone.

To quote the Berserk Manga: "Monsters shouldn't pretend to have such a thing as a warrior's code or pride"

Fake-outs like that are quite typical in manga, where the characters don't see something so the audience doesn't either, but... it's hard to imagine how you'd miss the change beam happening as it's not a technique you can do invisibly fast.

Basically the god in Cold's body was rushing to attack and in his haste he didn't notice that Ginyu was quitting the female god's body (and the reader isn't supposed to notice it either, because as the poster above me said there is a narrative fake-out).
