It is a lot worse than that. My mistake it is SS Goku not SSGSS and the set is labelled as "Freeza Edition" aka likely means Z portion Freeza arc.... This explains why Vegeta is base form too. Scans should be out in a few days.

The excuse for Banpresto doesn't work for Bandai since most of what Bandai release are in sets anyway and they often pull ratio shenanigans.

The gashapon surveys only recently included options for people to pick DBS arcs so prior it was only DB or Z stuff and by default I'd pick Freeza or Boyhood arc. Last year Bandai gave us the DBS Ride on Dragon Ball gashapon for Boyhood/ OG DB looks and now HG #03 being Freeza arc.

Issue moreso is the prominent use of the DBS brand, if they're gonna market other stuff whatever use appropriate branding, but like you said it's such a godamn waste of the DBS brand.

This Bandai problem just isn't going to go away is it? Banpresto fixed their shit as result I don't think there has been much complaint their way this past year but Bandai every day it seems they'll pull some stunt or another.

We're due Bandai's final versions of their Feb stuff Thursday that should be fun!

Honestly if you are looking on EBAY I encourage you to wait. I have a feeling these will all go down on price and EBAY especially overestimates the prices at first.

For example I am seeing SSBE Vegeta for $70+ on EBay there is no way that will sell for that on the Japanese after market.

Deep discount had a 15% off code a few months ago so I put my order in for that SS4 then.

The final version of that SS4 Vegeta isn't live yet too and that is out next week likely 7th Feb, personally I don't like SS4 Vegeta at all though it is better than SS3 Vegeta! But unless it is a massive coincidence looks like Banpresto and Bandai S have been in contact and planned this, so makes the Kuji Gogeta doing the Big Bang KMH even more of a head scratcher, everyone else is smirking so the Gogeta card of his arm crossed smirking should have been a no brainier! That way it will different pose to Suzuki's Big Bang KMH one aswell. Ahh Bandai...

Vegeta isn't part of the IK collaboration so he's running the usual price of 17~20 dollars and is widely available with different retailers.

As for Gogeta, I just looked at Amazon JP listings and there's just one that is currently priced at a whooping $100, other than that, he's up for preorder on his overseas version (BBTS, Deep Discount, etc.) at $36

No listings for Goku in Japanese sites, but if he's the mysterious figure listed on BBTS and the like, the overseas version is also at $36.
