As long as it isn't just a single screening, I guess I'll drop to Lisbon to watch it.diogoarez wrote:It comes out in the 14th of March... On Cinema City, fuck what a weird choice.

Doubt it's a single screening and I have no doubts this isn't exclusive to cinema city. NOS also distributes some movies and they're never exclusive. Either way one day after France is good.
Also cinema city usually gives some souvenirs so I hope they'll have the Gogeta poster like in the US

Cinema City... That's only in Lisbon, Setúbal and Leiria...
I wonder if this will get a DVD/Blu-ray release down the line. And who will the distributor be...

Yeah, not gonna drive half-way across the country to see a movie. What a shame.

Re: Dragon Ball Super in Portugal
I asked Cinema City on Facebook.
It's gonna be dub only apparently, and not exclusive to them, so NOS and UCI will probably screen it too.

Hope we get subbed screenings but yeah at least it's not exclusive to them. Wonder who's the distributor and if we'll get a physical release.

Re: Dragon Ball Super in Portugal
CinemaCity's post was deleted. Guess they went too fast since even their instagram story had the japanese poster. They probably have no marketing yet just a confirmation that shouldn't have been announced yet. Good to have a date nonetheless
Here's the instagram story confirming the date if anyone cares.
EDIT: CinemaCity went to talk to IGN and they confirmed BigPicture is the distributor.

I hope there's subbed screenings, not sure if I'll watch the movie if it's only dubbed.
Re: Dragon Ball Super in Portugal
Oh boy there's a civil war between Loy and the fans going on...
Re: Dragon Ball Super in Portugal
It's just ridiculous. If Loy knew how to take criticism he would be on the right because all of this started because people flooded his dms with questiona about the dub and obvioudly he couldn't answer because even if he knew anything he would be under an NDA. It's not the first time this has happened and it won't be the last and the best thing to do is just ignore it. We have the movie and it will be dubbed and because it won't be Audio In it willl have a director calling the shots and telling Loy what to do.diogoarez wrote:Oh boy there's a civil war between Loy and the fans going on...

It won't because Audio In only does dubs for TV.omegalucas wrote: Well, *hopefully* it won't be Audio In.

Re: Dragon Ball Super in Portugal
Isn't Dragon Ball usually handled by SIC in Portugal? Is this the first time a DB series aired in Portugal that wasn't on a SIC channel? What are the chances that it will be either subbed or a completely different dub?

Some very interesting and unexpected news. I remember the mention of Biggs also wanting Super in 2016 but since nothing happened I thought the idea was left behind. Makes sense though why suddenly they're marketing só much the DB movies they're airing and they've been airing those for years.TheRed259 wrote:Biggs in Portugal will start airing DragonBall Super in March:

Yes and no. Although SIC has been the famous portuguese house of Dragon Ball they never had an exclusivity deal. There are 0 chances of it being subbed however a new dub could be a possibilty and a damn good one. Biggs workshop with 112 Studios a lot (imo the second best dubbing studio in Portugal) and I could very well see them doing a faithful dub with the original cast and A FUCKING DIRECTOR but it could be censored and that could fuck things up. Worst case scenario it will be a censored version of the dub we already have.Danfun64 wrote:Isn't Dragon Ball usually handled by SIC in Portugal?
