I am curious about what they will think of Buu in the next episode.
Buu is very unorthodox and goofy (at least this stage).
At the same, he can be terrifying.

Who knows. They weren't impressed by Babidi and Dabura, or the serious treatment of the threat, despite the fact that it isn't even a threat at this stage. Everyone says the Buu saga is wacky, and it is, but it's also got the highest stakes and (I would argue) the scariest villain. These next five episodes do a lot to show off the creepiness of a fat childish blob throwing tantrums, looming over people and chanting "BUU EAT YOU. BUU EAT YOU. BUU EAT YOU" in a high-pitched voice.

I just hope their expectations of goofiness isn't going to make them dismiss the arc when it ramps up the stakes. Also, the fact that they know about fusion might dilute the impact of Vegeta's sacrifice which is unfortunately unavoidable.

Also, the fact that they know about fusion might dilute the impact of Vegeta's sacrifice which is unfortunately unavoidable.

I mean, Vegeta's impact isn't much in a series that death means absolutely nothing and everybody and their mother knew that he was coming back. Especially since he had just gotten done resenting his family and saying that having them made him weak now it seems a bit jarring that almost instantly afterwards he is "giving his life" for them. Of course, I say "giving his life" loosely, because it isnt really giving his life, because he was revived shortly after and it was obvious he was going to be revived shortly after.

So yeah, I don't think they will be too impacted by Vegeta's sacrifice.

Unlike the rest of villains of the arc, it seems Dan and Jeff like Fat Buu.

Fat Buu IS the best villain of that arc. Though I personally don't mind Babidi.

Highlight of the ep was definitely Jeff's impression of Piccolo telling Vegeta he's going to hell.

Just to verify for people: No All Systems Goku on Monday.
The holiday and some doctor stuff I was out to handle on Friday got in the way.
Hoping to record and post mid-week to get back on schedule.

Hopefully, there will be an episode next week.

Last week's episode made me realize that Babidi is Evil Jiminy Cricket and Buu killing him is very similar to the actual Adventures of Pinocchio: the death of the "conscience" of Buu liberates him to engage in whatever he wishes without inhibition.

Not gonna lie, I'd kind of love it if they pause where they are to do a review of the Broly movie while it's out. Mainly because it would be hilarious to hear them trying to figure out what's going based on just what they've seen of Z plus FighterZ. Also, because they're at the point of the Buu arc that I can't stand and I'm not that inclined to keep watching along with them. Apart from the Satan stuff, it's nothing but dreck until Vegeta comes back.

Also, know what else will be hilarious? Their reaction to Super Buu. They know about Kid Buu because he's in the game, but Super Buu has pretty much been buried in modern DB advertising.

Well, Jeff and Dan seemed to like this batch of episodes (specifically, The Champ, Buu, and Bee escapades).
Through this batch, they have deemed the "New Zealander" and "Sean Connery Butler" as the worst villains of the franchise for shooting Bee, agreed Super Saiyan Gotenks is a dick, and were caught off-guard by Chi-Chi's death (then, Master Roshi's perverse actions afterward seemed out of place and tone deaf).
And they know about the Broly film, but they are hesitant about it because they have not touched Super, yet.
I like that they are very close with their observations about the ending of Z: a return to nonchalance, Goku returning through some out of the ordinary means (then again, who saw that coming, really?), etc.

I still really hope they watch the DBZ films (and Bardock) to get some context of who Broly, Cooler, and Bardock were before they even see DBS: Broly.
