Broli's final scream is really underwhelming

Re: Dragon Ball Super in Portugal
Audio In fucked up on the trailer. They translated the "The Saiyan warrior race" as "A corrida dos Guerreiros do Espaço" ("The Space Warriors race" but as in racing with each other)
Also because of the mixing, can't tell if Goku says Freeza or Freezer.

Oh, didn't even notice that. However, that wasn't Audio-In's fault but Big Picture's since they're the ones in charge of the trailers.omegalucas wrote:Audio In fucked up on the trailer. It's not a big mistake, as the wording is a bit contrived even in English.Gafonso6 wrote:Oh, didn't even notice that. A corrected version of the trailer was released. Now that we can hear all the voices I have to say I'm even more convinced this will be a great dub, Tomás Alves as Freeza just sounds perfect, even better than Spínola.

Romeu's Broly sounds so good, that guy is definitely the MVP now that Spinola's gone.Gafonso6 wrote:A corrected version of the trailer was released. Fantastic. God, Raposo actually sounds like he can emote.
On a side note, dunno why (since it's something we say a lot orally) but I hate how they keep using "dar cabo de" in the dub. Breaks the illusion for some reason.
@Gafonso6: you're in the FB page now?

That sounds much better than the first trailer's audio on Facebook. Now, we get to see 'Freeza Vs. Broly' and 'Goku Vs. Broly' but Freeza sounds as though he'll be called by 'Freezer' as usual and Goku as 'Songoku', also as usual.Gafonso6 wrote:A corrected version of the trailer was released. Still, despite that, it sounds like it's going to be an amazing Portuguese dub which I've longed wish for. If this gets a Blu-ray release then I'm definitely buying it.
Edit: The new Portuguese Goku sounds already so much more suitable and nicer for Goku's character than Feist did, not that Feist wasn't a good Goku but the comments he made kind of ruined it.

With a subbed release also on theaters it'd be a shame if they didn't do a Blu-ray release.JohnnyCashKami wrote:That sounds much better than the first trailer's audio on Facebook. Yeah, I am. Got invited a few days ago to be an editor and thought "Why not?". It's good to have somebody there that can correct any errors they do immediatly.omegalucas wrote: @Gafonso6: you're in the FB page now?

Yeah, now they have someone who actually know that they're doing. Props. Maybe you can replace Gabriel in the dub alsoGafonso6 wrote:Yeah, I am. Wasn't it you who had an acting background or something?

Maybe Big Picture can publish it on BD/DVD though the sales might not be all that great as people prefer to just stream it via a VoD service and the likes.omegalucas wrote:With a subbed release also on theaters it'd be a shame if they didn't do a Blu-ray release.
Re: Dragon Ball Super in Portugal
Yes, I do, but unlike Gabriel I want to get my first work as a voice actor because of my talent and not because I know the voice actors.omegalucas wrote:Yeah, now they have someone who actually know that they're doing. If this never happens it's very possible that Netflix will end up having the movie just like they did with BoG and RoF, and since a dub exists they'll probably have it there too.JohnnyCashKami wrote: Maybe Big Picture can publish it on BD/DVD though the sales might not be all that great as people prefer to just stream it via a VoD service and the likes.

Re: Dragon Ball Super in Portugal
About Vala's scream at the end of the trailer, it sounds faded, and that's probably why it sounded subpar on the first version.
And Vala is gonna end up "fighting" himself for a bit now that I think about it.
Also, is it me or a lot of the current dub detractors were the ones that defended the VAs to death from the "haters"? Giving weight to my "theory" that most of the casuals don't really care about Dragon Ball and simply can't take off their "nostalgia headphones" (patent pending
) for the Z dub

Yeah, some of those casuals even though they are sad about Feist and Spínola leaving will still go and see the movie because they're casual DB fans. The ones that are saying things like "You killed the dub by leaving Feist and Spínola out" (even though they were the ones that chose to leave because of a 15€ difference) are dub fans and not DB fans, they're people that think DB relies on the voice actors and not on the characters and those people will end up just being a vocal minority.omegalucas wrote:About Vala's scream at the end of the trailer, it sounds faded, and that's probably why it sounded subpar on the first version.

Re: Dragon Ball Super in Portugal
They left because of a measly difference of €15? They were VAs with the privilege of voicing characters of the Dragon Ball franchise. Smh. You know, they'll probably regret that decision eventually.Gafonso6 wrote:Yeah, some of those casuals even though they are sad about Feist and Spínola leaving will still go and see the movie because they're casual DB fans. Good to know Audio-In is still an incompetent studio as expected. If they fucked up a trailer, imagine the movie...
As for the new voices Paragus and Broly seem great. I'm not sure about Goku and Freeza, it's strange.
Romeu is definitely the MVP. What a bless!

A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.
Favourite old DB Animators: Masaki Sato and Tadayoshi Yamamuro
Favourite new DB Animators: Yuya Takahashi and Chikashi Kubota

Once again, the trailer was Big Picture's responsability not Audio-In's. I'm all for criticism as long as it's fair criticism.FortuneSSJ wrote:Good to know Audio-In is still a incompetent studio. If they fucked up a a trailer, imagine the movie...

Funimation is there! I think it's just the marketing material but I don't know... Big Picture has the Japanese version since that's going to theatres with the Dub. Either way this is the first project Funimation has ever been involved with in Portugal, maybe the first of many? Hope so, more anime never hurted anyone.Danfun64 wrote:Notice anything...
