Your criticisms of Funimation dubbing DBS late are unfair. It’s not Funimstuons fault Toei didn’t let them dub it until the series was half over
Oh, I had no idea Toei had a hand in that. I'm so used to Funimation dropping the ball as usual I was quick to assume.
No problem man it happens.
Also just noticed that I fucked up the spelling. Can’t edit it now whoops

I won't lie when I say that the controversy has poisoned my interest in the English dub, and plus I've been rewatching Dragon Ball and DBZ all in Japanese and have been really enjoying the performances. I got into the sub way back when I started watching DBZ in Japanese, rewatching it now is only reinforcing what I thought of it before. The Kai dub was excellent in it's adaptation of the script and with Super the quality has dropped, I don't know what happened but when it's good it's really good and it's when they accurately adapt the script but when they do their own thing it tends to be really bad.

I hate how Sean is voicing Goku as a complete retard, but to be honest that's Toei's fault more than anything. It's just highlighted even more now that I hear it in my native language.

I never much cared for the Japanese Dub. The only reason I watched Japanese was because it took way too long for them to do the English dub. I’d much rather watch English, but since I already know what happens I don’t watch it now. Once they finish airing the episodes, I’ll go back and watch the the high points of the series.
As far as the cast drama, I don’t pay attention to any of that since I never cared to know the people behind the voices. Takes away from the viewing experience for me. I don’t care to find out either. However, if it involves fan interaction being the reason people have a problem with the cast, I’m not surprised. People in this community are overbearing.
How i predict the tournament will end:

That's... uhh... very much not the issue here. Well, actually, it is. Just in the total opposite way you're thinking.

They reason I watched Super subbed is because I didn't want to wait to the dub. Still hate Japanese Goku
Also tc, Spain aired Super finale's subbed because they dub wasn't finished yet
I'm kinda opposite. I would never watch ToP if it wasn't for polish dub. ToP Arc in Poland started and ended this year (5 episodes per week) so it's like 2 years after this arc started in Japan? I only watched it for dub because it's the first time we got dub in DB (except for DBZ movies 12&13) and i really liked our dub. There are tons of easter eggs that do not feel out of place like in FUNimation dubs and some voices, like Bulma and Zamasu, are actually better than original and english ones imo.
Tbh i like both Nozawa and Schemmel as Goku, but with Nozawa i prefer her voice as either kid Goku, SSJ4 Goku or Goku Black.
Regular adult Goku sounds a bit better with Schemmel imo. SSJ4 Goku in english dub sounds just ok and Goku Black sounds absolutely terrible. I also like Stephanie Nadolny as kid Goku (and Gohan) but absolutely hate Colleen Clinkenbeard (i hope i got her name right, too lazy to check lol).
Better than Zamasu in Japanese? Impossible.

Also what's with calling it the Japanese dub? The show is Japanese, it's its native language. We don't call Family Guy the English dub or the American dub.

I'm such a huge fan of Dragon Ball that I'm actually a fan of both the original and the dub. I watched Super in Japanese when it was on air and now I'm happily watching it again weekly on Toonami. When it comes to games and media, however, I much prefer playing/buying it dubbed. Since I am a digital-only kind of guy (only a matter of time before physical dies out) I purchase everything on iTunes and they only give you the option to buy it either dubbed or subbed. I grew up with the English voices so they'll always resonate with me, but I do love the Japanese cast.
As for the controversy surrounding FUNi and some of its VA's, fortunately I'm able to separate art and its creator. Hell, the creator of Rurouni Kenshin was found to have had child pornography and while that is disturbing beyond belief it actually does not ruin Rurouni Kenshin for me. Trump Tower is another great example. I despise Donald Trump both as President and as a human being, but Trump Tower is such an interesting piece of architecture (in my opinion!) that I enjoy visiting it on occasion when I'm in NYC.

I was done with it a long time ago. After realizing that they could do good with the franchise with Kai and the recent movies, I thought to myself: "Why bother watching the dub anymore? I already know that they know they will do a good job." The fact that they continue to appeal to the Toonami crowd by unnecessarily rewriting dialogue makes me even more glad I don't watch it anymore. It goes to show that after all these years, Funimation can't be trusted with accurate localization when it comes to their most well known franchise. The only difference is that the voice acting is actually kinda tolerable and listenable this time around with some exceptions.
I have to agree with MajinMan that you don't deserve any praise when you refuse to say the full name of the main character.

For quite sometime, Funimation staff members started push their political agenda into dubs, and that was main reason i stopped buying their products for over year or so, voting with wallet was always best option

I was aware of the sketchy things happening at FUNimation but not this specifically. Huh, they butchered an anime series dub with a political agenda rather than just be true to the source material.
That was awkward. It's like watching SpongeBob and then out of the blue he starts talking about politics for no reason but to be fair, SpongeBob is kind of insane though he doesn't realize it.

Same, for all of their anime. Even if the voices are ok sometimes, the scripts are constantly altered to "spice things up", and in doing so they change the personality of characters in subtle ways.

I remember that the Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon's dub was kinda polemical at the time it was produced because of this.

This is really unfortunate as Funimation has so many great anime that they dub. This is exactly why a lot of people are losing interest in Western entertainment.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

This seems like an incredibly bold and baseless comment. See: Marvel is the height of worldwide popularity right now.

It's called localization.
What might play for a Japanese audience might be completely lost on a Western audience. At that point it's the dubber's responsibility to capture
essence of what was said. I've never seen either of the anime you linked, but if the original Japanese said something like "are you an otaku/hikkikomori" then western audiences have no concept of those, and there's no direct one-word translation for them. Saying someone is a gamergate creep though is 100% viable as a translation, since it carries the negative connotation that "otaku" and "hikkikomori" do (and yes, these ARE negative terms in Japan).
The way I see it, a lot of this is just people being ruffled by being forced to confront contemporary issues/conventions. "Getting political," is often just a nicer/more spineless way of saying that.

Not even remotely. It's not faithful to what was said (the point was about seniority), it's not an attempt to adapt or localize what was said, and needlessly shoves an hot/political topic (in a biased manner) out of nowhere.
It's just unprofessional and cringeworthy.
