Well officially it's Goku day but you're also right about it being Piccolo day, so both?

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" CONTINUATION - Announcement & Discussion Thread
If it's on Heroes stream and people should look for it on Heroes site, then why would it be DBS continuation?
Unless it's DBS announcement after SDBH episode which airs the same day. Still, not likely.
It looks like something totally related to SDBH, like new mission trailer. UM8 could be the last Universe Mission.

It turns out that Hearts whole plan to take out the Gods was because the Gods were stopping Super 2 from being produced, this whole anime was about fighting so we can get the SUper 2 announcment.sunsetshimmer wrote: Sat Apr 27, 2019 4:45 pm If it's on Heroes stream and people should look for it on Heroes site, then why would it be DBS continuation?

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" CONTINUATION - Announcement & Discussion Thread
Well, according to Arched, the latest DBS’s return will PROBABLY be announced is mid May for money/fiscal year reasons.
They’re advertising this announcement with a pic of Shintani Goku (the only other time they’ve advertised something Heroes related with a Shintani design is for Broly movie content in the game).
We got our first DBS trailer/teaser after the end of a DBKai episode apparently.
Maybe the reason we have to go to the website is because thats where the SDBH episode (that is also airing on Goku day) will be airing and at the end, we’ll get an announcement of DBS’s return with some kind of teaser.
There isn’t any other hinted at time where DBS’s can get an announcement so...
Yeah, we’ll see.

I called it that Gogeta, Bardock, and something Broly related would be in the movie before it was even announced that it was a Broly movie.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" CONTINUATION - Announcement & Discussion Thread
It being announced in collaboration with Heroes and on Goku Day is speculation. So far WHEN it will be announced has all be speculation
What hasn’t been speculation but coming from a source at Toei is that it’s coming back in July.

I told you multiple animators at Toei have said it is coming back in July. Geekdom, Anime Ajay, And Yonkou Productions have all confirmed thisIntangibleFancy wrote: Sat Apr 27, 2019 6:46 pmWhich source? They are obviously not going to say which animators because they don’t want to lose their sources. You can believe what you like. But none of these guys are clout chasers or even need to be at this point.
Anime Ajay even contributes to this site for goodness sakes.

Are there any Japanese Youtubers that are just as big as Geekdom and Ajay? I just feel odd knowing that Toei only told a small handful of western youtubers.

I think you are confused. It is not Toei that told them but animators that work for Toei who told themIntangibleFancy wrote: Sat Apr 27, 2019 6:58 pmOkay.Kinokima wrote: Sat Apr 27, 2019 6:51 pmI told you multiple animators at Toei have said it is coming back in July. They are working on Dragon Ball.
They have connections. I don’t think Geekdom necessarily has direct connections to Japan but he knows people who do. Anime Ajay I believe does have direct connections to people working for Toei. I don’t know Yonkou Productions as well but he seems pretty credible too.
I understand being cynical that’s fine but I am trying to tell you that they are already big and well known in the community. It would be stupid of them to lie because that isn’t what they are about. Their credibility is being put on the line. They don’t need hype and clout at this point so why would they risk that?
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" CONTINUATION - Announcement & Discussion Thread
Not that I doubt that Super will come back, but is there any reason why Toei keeps denying Super being in production?
I mean, yeah, they wouldn't want to spoil the announcement, but outright denying it is a bit......weird
I haven't followed Toei on the media that much, but did they outright lied instead of just giving vague answers?
This doesn't need to be Dragon Ball related btw.

But the reason why I feel so iffy about this is the fact that only the western side of the fanbase seems to have connections with the animators. I don't even have any idea on how he got them or how he's closer to the animators than any other Japanese youtuber that follows Dragon Ball.Kinokima wrote: Sat Apr 27, 2019 7:24 pmI think you are confused. Herms or Japan's equivalent to Geekdom and Ajay having connections seems way more believable.
I agree with the fact that lying seems stupid but I think you're giving the potential backlash too much credit. If they really are wrong I doubt anything beyond a couple of rants on twitter and this thread is going to occur.Kinokima wrote: Sat Apr 27, 2019 7:24 pmI understand being cynical that’s fine but I am trying to tell you that they are already big and well known in the community. The last thing I heard about them is that they had no plans to bring Super back to life for the moment. That was a few months ago though. Shouldn't 2.0 have been in production since last year?Akamay wrote: Sat Apr 27, 2019 7:28 pm Not that I doubt that Super will come back, but is there any reason why Toei keeps denying Super being in production?

Wait I forgot. The producer for the Broly movie said something but it was really unclear. He either only knew that 2.0 was happening and nothing else or didn't know anything about the series but just assumed it was happening.
He also said Toei hasn't come up with anything yet which means they really haven't been working on it. Which I don't get.

A lot of English speaking fans have connections to the Japanese side of things. It’s not that strangeIntangibleFancy wrote: Sat Apr 27, 2019 7:35 pm Are there any Japanese Youtubers that are just as big as Geekdom and Ajay? Baggie Saiyan who posts on here has connections where he gets news early about Japanese figures that even a lot of fans from Japan follow him.
I know of a lot of Japanese fans on Twitter but no I don’t really know of big Japanese YouTube sites.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" CONTINUATION - Announcement & Discussion Thread
Yes, you do. I explained it many pages back, which you acknowledged. I'm not sure why you keep feigning ignorance. Is there a vendetta I should be aware of? If so, it'd be nice to resolve that so we don't go in circles.IntangibleFancy wrote: Sat Apr 27, 2019 7:35 pmBut the reason why I feel so iffy about this is the fact that only Ajay seems to have connections. Dragon Ball YouTubers do not exist in Japan in the same way they do in the west. Even if they did, that actually doesn't matter, believe it or not. It's got nothing to do with channel size or whatever. Literally anyone could reach out to these guys if they wanted. There's nothing special about me or my position. In fact, a lot of private confirmations come from people with zero major media presence just casually building relationships.
Animators are people. They like to talk about their work... sometimes they talk too much. That's pretty much all it is. They don't follow what I do, and certainly aren't watching my videos. I doubt many of them are even aware of what I do. I literally trawl through credits and see if staff members have social media... From there, it's just a case of asking questions. It's remarkably basic journalism, honestly.
Again, I appreciate and value skepticism. However, I've been around doing this stuff off my own back, entirely for my own interests for years, and primarily on this forum. The fact I happened to make a YouTube channel shouldn't suddenly change your perspective on what I do. And once again, I didn't even make a video about this Super stuff, so I'm certainly not gaining anything by talking about it. If for some reason it doesn't happen, that's not because I intentionally spun a load of lies in some weird moustache-twirling scheme to benefit myself, it's simply because I was misinformed (unlikely given the number of confirmations) or something changed.

I see. Why haven't any of the Japanese youtubers tried? It's just strange that the western side of the fanbase can casually go to their official twitter and stuff while the Japanese side just remains silent.Ajay wrote: Sat Apr 27, 2019 7:50 pm Dragon Ball YouTubers do not exist in Japan in the same way they do in the west. If it's any consolation, I really didn't want to call you a youtuber. I forgot the term that describes a person that frequents various sites and garners fame for their content.Ajay wrote: Sat Apr 27, 2019 7:50 pm Again, I appreciate and value skepticism.
