Re: "Dragon Ball Super" CONTINUATION - (Non) Announcement & Discussion Thread
While it would be weird for them to announce a new show this late, and with Shida confirmed to be returning to Super Dragon Ball Heroes (which would be a weird choice as they could move him to Super), I think there’s still a chance for there to be a surprise late announcement.
As Baggie pointed out above, this is a serie that people watch for free on television (overseas fans pay to watch on streaming services, with many pirating it because of how easy it is to do it or because they have no available simulcast).
Considering how basically every single popular anime ever nowadays has simulcasts available worldwide, with shows such as MHA even receiving simuldubs in certain countries (I think it’s 1 week from the Japanese airings in the US?) I expect the rumor about there being more plans for Super’s simulcasts than before and even simuldubs to still be true.
We’re still talking about the most popular anime TV show in the world, so it’s expected for it to get a better treatment especially for what concerns the international markets.
I doubt they will be announcing the new show with their financial reports, and I still think it would be weird for them not to mention any plans for Dragon Ball’s future in those if the show is truly still meant to come out in 2Q/July, so I’m still on the boat “no July release” but I won’t be ruling out the possibility yet.

Yeah, most likely. Considering how long they have been reluctant to age them, I'm sure coming up with their designs now must be a pain in the neck.louisascommie wrote: Mon May 13, 2019 12:54 pmThey need extra time to make new design sheets for adult trunks and goten and Marron

So 50.1 for the first half and 115 projected overall? It looks so in sync with the projected numbers of all the other IPs listed there. No big jump.
Also; isn't there supposed to be more than this one graph? If so does anyone know where the rest of it is?

I mean ajay and geekdom apparently have dozens of sources and here we are. At this point I'm leaning on the side of no July return but hoping otherwise but I doubt it
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" CONTINUATION - (Non) Announcement & Discussion Thread

I've been wondering, what does " チェーン" mean? It probably doesn't matter but I've been skimming through the twitter account and it seems like this account just might be a guy with actual insiders.
Kind of unlikely, but it also might be Geekdom trying to stir up false hope.

Why do you think Toei would care that youtubers make a handful of USA fans losing their patience?IntangibleFancy wrote: Mon May 13, 2019 11:57 amI'm positive I'm not the only person losing their patience, infact, I'm confident that there's at least a handful that are losing interest/given up hope after the 9th.
I mean a weekly anime for Super will be mainly directed to Japanese people.
If your point it is that this will affect negatively Super. That reminds me when Broly was announced and some people in this forum said he is a divisive character and his appearance will affect in a negative way the income of the movie.

Now that I think about it, this account just might be a guy with actual insiders.

Thank you! What's interesting about these guys is I can't find a website. They have social media, but no website.IntangibleFancy wrote: Mon May 13, 2019 7:43 pmIt's from that twitter account that keeps getting linked here.Chuquita wrote: Mon May 13, 2019 7:42 pm チエーン is just "chain" written in katakana isn't it?

There used to be a tv program with the same name that went off the air about a year before the account was created, but who knows if they're related: https://ja.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%82% ... E3%83%A1TV
