Hearing you guys bring up Krillin's karaoke made me look it up again to check and then remembered that I've heard Tsubasa wo Kudasai before outside there - it's played in big tragic scenes in a sort of ironic way in both Evangelion 2.0 and the Danganronpa 3 anime. There are probably loads of anime where it's used as an incidental song. I just remember those two because they seem to try and contrast the optimistic lyrics with something terrible happening in the anime.
