Did anyone buy Dragon Box / Level Sets from "stayfly1989" on eBay?

Post by Ashura » Thu Sep 12, 2019 5:25 am

Hi guys,

It's been a while, and my life has been absolutely crazy. I'm sorry if this is inappropriate; I'm sure Mike'll smack me if it is, but I'm really not sure where to ask this and I figured it might be worth reaching out here since the community for these rare, expensive discs is pretty small...

Last year my entire anime and game collection was stolen from me and I've only been able to track down some of it. Some of the people who know me here know I work in the industry and my collection was pretty hefty... was.

There is a seller named "stayfly1989" on eBay who, unknowingly, came into possession and sold a bunch of my stuff. (Again, UNKNOWINGLY... do not bother them.) I am working with the seller to get the items of mine from him that remain, however, if I can find who bought some of my stuff I want to potentially buy some of it back if I can.

I'm wondering if any of the members here bought from them? Things of mine they sold:

-Complete Dragon Box
-Bubblegum Crisis Kickstarter Exclusive
-DBZ Blu-ray Level Sets 1 and 2
-Dragonball Kai 1-8 Bluray Singles
-Complete Ranma 1/2 Blu-ray Set

Any help appreciated... again, sorry if this goes against the forum rules; hopefully the mods'll have mercy on me if it does.
My favorite movie henchman is Sancho.

Follow my stupid crap on Twitter. Please note, I do not have time to reply to any PMs about color correction methods anymore; sorry about that.

Oh man! I'm really sorry to hear that, I'd be devastated if my collection was lost (I have an OG DB Dragon Box that I treasure even though I can't actually play the discs).

Sounds awful but how did it happen? They broke into your house and chose to take your anime?

If he didn't legally own your stuff he couldn't sell it and transfer ownership. Involve the authorities, find out the buyers names and order them to return your property, DO NOT buy it back, it is still legally yours. The buyers can then get back their money from the seller.
